Strengths:

• Brute: The Dauntless Class Cruiser is armed with a higher number than average weapons for a ship of its size, allowing it to challenge vessels larger than itself in a straight forward engagement.
• Dead shot: The Dauntless uses redundant targeting computers to enhance its accuracy, ensuring that a higher amount of weapon fire hit its desired target.

Weaknesses:

• Friendless: The Dauntless lacks any kind of hangar bay, forcing it to rely on point defense and allied carrier vessels to get it into and out of an engagement.
• Power Hog: The sheer amount of power funneled to weaponry and defenses on the Dauntless lead it to becoming overextended in a prolonged engagement. The Dauntless is forced to try and end a battle quickly, or face increasingly unfavorable odds.

Description: The Dauntless Class Cruiser stands as the first new ship of the line of the Federation of Allied Systems. Designed to protect the shipping lanes that the Federation, as well as serve as the main Cruiser of any future combat operations. It's Molecular Shielding allows for the Dauntless to survive in a battle longer than other vessels, and it's HIMS system allows the Dauntless to exit and arrive in a system at a moments notice. The vessels Linked Targeting Computers allow for it to target multiple enemies at once, and ensure a high amount of accuracy.
