Intent: In order to create a neat storage device in which to keep secrets.
Development Thread: N/A
Manufacturer: Tian Industries
Model: Dat'qah Tattoo
Affiliation: Closed-Market
Modularity: No
Production: Mass-Produced
Material: False Skin, Miniature Qahsa
Description:
Dat'qah Tattoos are a new development created by Titan Industries in order to create a inconspicuous storage device for agents, business men, smugglers, and pretty much anyone who needs to sneak data places.

This unique technology is born of a combination of cloned organic skin, a Yuuzhan Vong Biot, and a single metallic transceiver embedded deep into the skin. This transceiver is inactive ninety percent of the time, and it is in fact the Yuuzhan Vong Biot that is the actual storage of the device. The biot is in effect a miniature Qahsa modified to work with the metallic transceiver embedded within the skin of the subject.

This Qahsa acts as a storage device, much like an External Hard Drive in real life save for the fact that it can store massive amounts of Data. The Qahsa interacts with the metallic transceiver in order to receive and expunge Data, each transceiver having a specific frequency given to the owner upon implantation so only they know it. The Transceiver as mentioned before lays completely dormant until it is activated, said transceiver is activated by stroking the Qahsa above the skin in a specific pattern, once again known only to the owner.

If the Qahsa is surgically removed, the biot automatically erases all data that it contains, thus making it rather difficult to access the data without knowing the pattern, and the frequency. Detecting the transceiver and the biot is nearly impossible due to the circumstances. The Transceiver is tiny and dormant making it difficult to find on most scanners and the Biot is a blend into the users skin, meaning it would show up as the same life form on any but the most expensive scanners.

The Qahsa, in order to disguise itself takes the form of a tattoo. The shape that the Dat'qah biot will take underneath a persons skin is decided upon the creatures birth. Yuuzhan Vong shapers breed this into the creatures genetic code and once it is inserted beneath the skin the Dat'qah will begin to shape itself into the proper form*.

Due to its nature as a secret device, the Dat'qah is being kept mostly to Titan Industries, The One Sith, and its allies. These unique creatures are completely unheard of, and the less people know about it, the less people look for it. As such recieving one of these creatures is a manner of first finding out about it, then requesting one from Titan. This is to ensure that the technology remains a secret.

Can you please supply me with a link for this type of metallic transceiver that has managed to interact with Yuuzhan Vong biotechnology?

I have not been able to find any reference to Yuuzhan Vong organic technology being able to interact with inorganic in this way.

There is none.

However this is due to a cultural aspect of the Yuuzhan Vong rather than an inability to technologically do it. The transfer of data is a relatively simple process both in star wars and in real life so i didn't think it necessary to develop such a thing in a separate thread.
