DataSec Incorporated

Corporation Name:
DataSec Inc.

Headquarters:
Annaj

Locations:

  • Annaj
Operations:

  • Data and Information Security

  • Safe Data Storage

  • Counter-Slicing Software
Rationale:
DataSec was created by [member="Elias Truden"] through contacts acquired during his time running errands for one of the military leaders on Annaj. They all want to work for a mutual goal: To keep the HoloNet safe.

At it's very essence it's best described as a company run by two guys who had come together for a project to develop a small-time solution to a problem they had encountered. Together with the help of a few friends, acquaintances and contacts said project eventually became something bigger and more and more people began showing interest.

Eventually they managed to sell enough copies of their very first yet still moderately successful anti-slice-and-malware software. They propelled themselves into the corporate world as they got enough funding for a second shot at improving what they already had. The launch of the second version of said system was a critical success and by luck it found itself spread around the nearby clusters, to a degree.

Still, they're very small when compared to the big shots in the branch, but things can change.

Tier:
2

Description:
DataSec seeks to combat the new wave of slicer kids that keep popping up in killzones everywhere. Their ethics are simple and one-sided: Security. They provide large-scale clients Anti-slicer routines for all manner of threats that lurk among the holowaves around the holonet and in everyday appliances such as toasters, computers or gun turrets.

Another important factor is privacy. Just like most of it’s clients DataSec love privacy and as such keep no logs of what their users aim to do with the equipment and solutions that they sell, only that they bought it. That means that they do not tolerate anonymity.

It primarily wishes to deal with major LEGITIMATE factions and as such most of the products developed will cater to the needs of such people. They are not loyal to just any one faction but shows a slight bias for the Fringe Confederacy.

In order to purchase a product you will have to provide information as to exactly who you are but said information is promptly discarded during monthly clean sweeps of the registry. As long as your record is clean you should be good to go. If it’s not clean then tough luck, you’re out.

They reserve the rights to refuse anyone service.

Also, Casual Friday is mandatory participation as is Taco Tuesday.
