Intent: To create a personal suit of armor and a life support system for Rael sul B'an.
Development Thread: [X] (Rael is burned, as well as having each limb cut off)
Manufacturer: Darth Vornskr’s engineers and medics.
Model: N/A
Affiliation: Rael sul B'an and [member="Darth Vornskr"].
Modularity: The lightsabers can be switched, and the internal life support systems can be changed based on need.
Production: Unique
Material:
  • Cortosis Plates
  • Durasteel
  • Armorweave
Classification:
  • Anti-Blaster
  • Anti-Lightsaber
  • Life Support
Weight: 120kg
Quality: 8
Special Features:
  • Lightsaber resistance: The chest and back plates are made of cortosis, making them resistant to lightsaber strikes. If a lightsaber hits them, they can also shut off most traditional sabers. However, the plates are not indestructible, and they can be fractured and broken if they take a large enough beating.
  • Life support: The suit was mostly designed to keep Rael alive, as well as make him a weapon for Darth Vornskr. So, the finest life support was installed in the suit. It allows filtration for most types of atmospheres, and can even offer a few minutes of air in a vacuum. It also helps keeps Rael’s pain under control.
  • Hidden lightsabers: Along the inside of the forearm are compartments for lightsabers, and each socket can hold a single lightsaber, allowing two in total. The sabers essential replace Rael’s mechanical hands, meaning he cannot drop the sabers in an emergency. However, it also means that the only way of disarming is to cut one of the hands off. These lightsabers can also rotate to allow for better movement, rather than relying purely on the elbow joints for movement. The process of transferring the saber into his hand takes about two seconds for the mechanisms to work.
  • Enhanced strength: The suit provides strength that is beyond the strength of an average human being. While not strength of incredible proportions, the suit itself could help life about a half-ton of weight. This also allows for very powerful strikes, but often attacks can be misjudged because of the unnatural strength.
Description:
  • The suit of Rael sul B’an, also know as Darth Warsia, is largely intended to be his main source of life support. In the process of being built, it was also decided to add various other combat capabilities to it. In Rael’s battle with Darth Vornskr, the Sith Lord learned that the Kaleesh was a capable warrior. After defeating him, he decided to take Rael to be his personal assassin and warrior. He had his scientists work their hardest to provide the suit with enhanced strength, as well as cortosis in the chestplate and shoulderplates to make it resistant to lightsabers. These spots can also shut down lightsabers which weren’t designed with cortosis in mind. Twin lightsabers holders were also installed in the hollow wrists. When the lightsabers are active, the strength of the wrists are weakened, but with the sabers stored, the wrists are capable of holding much more strain without breaking. On top of that, when the sabers are activated, they essentially replace the hands. They can rotate 360 degrees, as the hands are folded back to give room for the lightsabers to have more dexterity. The suit was designed after the EG-5 Jedi Hunter droid of ancient, as that is the suit’s purpose for Rael, to keep him alive and hunt down Jedi and anyone else that Kaine Zambrano wants dead. However, to do so, more of Rael’s body had to be maimed than was in his battle with Vornskr. This was to make Rael look more menacing, as well as providing room for better life support. By directly accessing his internal organs, the suit is able to help him function better.
  • Vulnerable to EMPs: Because the suit is entirely mechanical, EMP and Ion attacks can shut the suit down completely. This also applies to the life support. If power is lost, the suit essentially pours Bacta over the internal organs in a weak attempt at preserving Rael's life for as long as possible.

Hello, [member="Darth Warsia"]. I'll be your judge today. :)

Nice sub all around, though a couple things jumped out at me:

Weight: 18kg
  • Considering this is essentially replacing his missing limbs and encasing much of the body, a much higher weight would be appropriate.
For reference, Grievous in his cyborg armor/exoskeleton weighed about 160 kg. Since Rael isn't quite as cybernetic, having kept his torso largely intact, I'd say somewhere between 100 - 120 kg would be a better weight. It's solid durasteel after all.

each socket can hold up to two lightsabers, allowing two in total
  • If each socket has space for two, and each arm has a socket, wouldn't that come in at 4 total?

  1. Would the suit be vulnerable to EMP/ion attacks, and if yes, what would be the consequences?
  2. The armorweave portion pertains to the cloak, I presume?

Tag me with questions and/or edits. :)

Please add the EMP/ion weaknesses to the description (preferably in a bulleted format under the strengths), and this should be good to go. :)

Thank you for your cooperation. :)
Please don't abuse the strength, or this will get pulled faster than you can say cyborg.

Pending secondary, [member="Alric Kuhn"].
