APPEARANCE:
Kentarch stands over 6 feet tall. His hair is black and is usually cut very close from the skull, but not so short to see the scalp. He is pail in the face and hs dark brown eyes, however the dark side of the force has caused them to gain a slight sulfuric yellow hue to them. He is very athletic and has a medium muscle tone, he never allows himself to gain to much weight.
Constantly he wears a black robe. His shirt, pants, and boots are black as well. Sometimes he will wear a brown tunic or dark green robes while at rest or during informal travels. His lightsaber is a plainly shaped cylinder with a solid casing. Thing along with large rigid black grips on the bottom with a beveled blade emitter.
BIOGRAPHY:
Detlef was born to a wealthy aristocratic family on Kuat. He was the youngest son of three, and his parents were important figures in Kuat Drive Yards. Detlef does not remember much of his first years, he vaguely remembers his mother who raised him for the first three years of his life, until he was taken from the Sith.
Darth Taxiarch was a once Jedi turned Sith Lord who left the Sith Empire and lived chosed to live in the far reaches of the galaxy. Despite renouncing the ways of the Jedi as he joined the Sith, he realized that there was an advantage to raising a force user from an early age. After leaving the empire he took on the search of finding a new apprentice, and discovered a young Detlef with the power of the Force. The Altman noble house was on Lianna for business with Sienar Fleets and were attending a formal meeting that discussed potential new contracts between the two companies. Taxiarch believed this was no random event, but rather an opportunity that presented itself through the force. He stole Detlef in the middle of the night while he was sleeping, and slew his mother during the process. Taxiarch took his new pupil to Ession in the Corporate Sector far away from the galactic factions warring for control of the galaxy. He planned to one day return to Korriban when his new apprentice was ready and retake his place among the Lords of the Sith.
Detlef did not really remember that night, or that week, or much of his early childhood. He did remember the love of his family and the suffering that came after it. Taxiarch made him suffer. He forced Detlef to run till his legs gave out, forced him to lay in cold water till he passed out. He began basic use of the force and even trained to use a saber. For failure he was beaten with a blunt durasteel blade modified with thousands of barbs that injected pelko bug poison into his system. When Taxiarxh ran out of the poison, which happened quickly since he could not return to Korriban, he used lightning to torture him instead. For success he was allowed to continue his gruelling training. Detlef found hatred for his master but respect as a source of knowledge and came to understand the way of the Sith.
Life was like this for decades, they lived in solitude and rarely travelled out of the sector. His public life was that of an exiled noble named Arkantos Prometheon, a wealthy businessman on Ession. But Eventually they journeyed out into the galaxy to help polish Detlef's skills and make a lightsaber. During their travels Detlef was dumped on Hoth for a few days with no weapons or supplies, and Taxiarch wanted to see if the teenager coming of age could use the force to survive. Detlef lived indeed, he barely survived the test, but deep in a cave he found a permafrost crystal during his stay. Taxiarch decided that Detlef was ready to carry a lightsaber. Despite the tradition to carry a red blade, Detlef made a icy blue saber with the permafrost and Phond crystal. Taxiarch frowned upon this, but Detlef mused the weapon was merely a tool that served his own ends, and that the color did not matter.
Back in the Corporate Sector, Detlef began to finally finish his training and gain control of his powers. However Taxiarch, like many Sith Lords, began to wonder if he had chosen the right apprentice. Likewise Detlef had learned the history of the Sith and Jedi, and began to wonder if the time had come to usurper his master. Taxiarch would leave Ession while Detlef went out on assignments or trained in seclusion for extend periods. Finally Taxiarch ordered Detlef to travel to Lettow to discover ancient Dark Jedi secrets.. Detlef left Ession, but tailed his master instead, who in fact had another student he had found on Etti IV.
Detlef confronted his master and informed him that Taxiarch would not replace him, and the time had come for Detlef to kill him and take the title of master. Taxiarch told his apprentice that he was not ready, Detlef would be replaced by a more worthy successor. In the ensuing lightsaber duel that lasted for what seemed an eternity Taxiarch eventually overpowered Detlef. Before Taxiarch went for the killing blow, he informed Detlef that he would die like his mother, and that it was Taxiarch who killed her. Filled with rage and fear, Detlef reached out and crushed Taxiarch with the force. He ripped through his master's force defenses and crush his skull and rib cage through sheer will. Detlef rose and in the moment of triumph took the title Darth Kentarch, casting aside his old name forever. To honor his transformation, he slew Taxiarch's new apprentice.
He was 30 when he left Etti IV after he defeated his master. For years he traveled the galaxy, honing his skills and venturing to ancient planets that predated the first Sith Empire . Finally after new reached him the Sith Empire had fallen, Darth Kentarch ventured into the galaxy to find what remains of his brethren.
