STRENGTHS:

• Fast Runner - Apokka are naturally fast runners, easily hitting speeds upwards of 70kph in a sprint.
• Hard Beak - Apokka possess a tough beak and are able to peck their way through most materials short of outright armor grade substances given enough time.
• Small - Bred over generations, Apokka are naturally small and therefore harder to target and hit.
• Way of the Apokka - Knowing that his species are generally unable to utilize most weapons and equipment considered normal by the galaxy at large, Darth Gallus has devoted his training primarily to mastering the ancient fighting art of his people: Buck-Bock Bugg-okka. Better known as the Way of the Apokka, the fighting style has two forms. The first, Buck-a-buck, or 'Death of a Thousand Cuts', focuses on agile movements of the beak and talons completed with blurring speed which is designed to cause repeated, numerous lacerations to the foe, weakening them over time. The second form, Bock-Bugga-a or 'Doom Beak of Endless Glory', focuses on using the body and feathers of the Apokka to hide the heavy blows of the Apokka's beak, which strikes like the angry fist of an angry Apokka god.
• Force Equalizer - Apokka are far, far smaller than most species of the galaxy. Because of this, Darth Gallus has placed his Force training on enhancement techniques and devastating directed Force abilities. The goal is to transcend size barriers and muscle-to-weight ratios with the Force to defeat those who would harvest the meat of his people.
• Merciless Hatred - Apokka around the galaxy are threatened with brutal consumption by larger, carnivorous species leading to a great amount of animosity between the tasty Apokka and those who hunger for poultry analogues. Because of this and due to past experiences, Darth Gallus often finds inner strength in the Force when facing those who would gladly devour his people.

WEAKNESSES:

• Incapable of Flight - Despite having vivid dreams and intense hopes for the ability to one day fly through the air, Darth Gallus is incapable of true flight as are most Apokka. Instead, Gallus can only flutter to the ground at moderately high speeds like the rest of his species.
• No Thumbs... Or hands - Apokka lack any kind of true manipulating appendage and are forced to make do with using their beaks to interact with the world around them or, in a pinch, using a foot while stationary.
• Small - Considered minuscule by most of the galaxy, Apokka lack the proper size to be threatening or to cause any real damage for the most part. In addition, if one can accurately kick one, field goals are attainable with an Apokka.
• Tasty - BBQed, fried, grilled, and more, Apokka are tasty and generally become natural prey for just about any predator.
• Merciless Hatred - While his hatred of Apokka-eaters, called 'Bocka-Bocka Bock-ok' which means 'Those Who Devour with Wanton Hatred and Insatiable Hunger', lends Gallus strength in the Force, it also causes him to lose focus, sometimes leading him to make mistakes more often than not.
• Pyrophobic - A member of a species that tastes just as good fried as grilled, Gallus has developed Pyrophobia, or a fear of fire. Called 'Bucka-Bucka Buck-Uk-Uk-Uk' in Apokkan, or 'Terror of Death from Searing Heat and Charring Fury', Galluse is generally fine around heat sources, but when fire or flame is exposed he often attempts to avoid it entirely, running for the hills if enough is present.

APPEARANCE:
Standing at a majestic .3 meters in height, Gallus sports a mottled brown coloration of feathers and a stocky, mildly meaty figure. His eyes are red in hue and his overall handsome appearance is generally lost on non-Apokkans, though he is highly attractive to a large number of Apokkan females and non-Apokkan cooks wherever he goes.

BIOGRAPHY:
Born to a prestigious Apokkan clan, Gallus grew up knowing the horrible dangers that faced his people on a daily basis. In the process of surviving, Gallus was found by a roving Sith who detected Gallus' strength in the Force. Gallus maintained that the Sith had seen the future in the young Apokkan and selected him for greatness. Memoirs written by the Sith in question, who's name shall not be mentioned for safety and legal reasons, detail that the Apokkan was taken on as a pupil for the Sith's own amusement and, should the Apokkan perish in the training (which the Sith states they thought was most likely and would be sooner rather than later), would provide lunch for the day.

Today, having left the tutelage of his Sith master after being told his master had finished his training (The Sith states in his memoirs that he was speaking of himself, that he had finished his usual morning training regimen, but did not notice the Apokkan was gone until a few weeks afterwards when the resident cleaning droids ceased to clog regularly with feathers), Darth Gallus travels the galaxy as only an Apokkan can: in a cloud of feathers as he seeks true power in a galaxy of carnivores.
