SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Songsteel used to fully enclose forearm for protection
  • Gorgodon leather over knuckles for flexibility
  • Electrum plating for decoration
  • Poisoned songsteel disk blades
Strengths:
  • Silent weapon with very little sound on firing
  • Sharpened songsteel disks can cause severe damage to flesh, and do moderate damage to light-to-medium armor; poison causes detrimental effects if introduced into flesh or bloodstream/circulatory systems, such as nausea and dizziness (multiple hits increase effect)
  • Blocking with lightsabers difficult if fired rapidly
  • Songsteel construction protects the entire forearm from a range of damage, including lightsaber strikes; gorgodon leather protects knuckles against blaster fire
  • Disks able to be controlled by Excidium mid-flight with telekinesis
  • Disks able to be reused when collected
Weaknesses:
  • Disks do little damage to heavy armor, typically glancing off at any sort of range. However, up close the disks may embed but not puncture
  • Disks can be blocked by lightsabers, especially if fired single-shot
  • Low muzzle velocity and mass result in low stopping power
  • Low ammunition capacity compared to other ranged weapons
  • Limited range, mainly for close-quarters
  • Cannot be worn over additional forearm gear or equipment, or visa versa
  • Made specifically for right hand, no conversion available
  • Poison must be reapplied after every use of a disk

DESCRIPTION
Utilizing the Sith Empire library, Darth Excidium found the idea of having a Lanvarok enjoyable. Wanting to put his own touch on the weapon, he acquired songsteel ore and proceeded to finely craft the weapon according to several versions of specifications. Wanting to include more protection, and also free up hand-use, Excidium adjusted his version to mainly cover the forearm, with a flexible leather on the knuckles for protection. The mechanisms were simple enough, especially for a craftsman used to creating intricate lightsabers and armors, and before long the creation was finished.

Adding his own decorations, using electrum, the personal Lanvarok was then equipped with a few dozen songsteel disks. Wanting to utilize some of his own strengths, such as his poison skills, Excidium altered the disks so that they contained small amounts of liquid that would make anyone scratched or cut by them dizzy and nauseous. The effects would increase with further application of injury and poisoning. A downside being that, due to the size of the disks, only small amounts of poison could be used; which resulted in reapplication after each disk was shot, at a later time.

Still, the end result was worth it, and Excidium was pleased to have another trick for his opponents ready.
