STRENGTHS

• Dust to Dust: Dreer's blade steals water, the source of all life. Wounds from this weapon can be extremely serious, turning flesh to dust and draining bodily fluids.

DESCRIPTION

An unusual weapon for a Sith, this blade resembles a field tool more than a war implement. In truth, it is often used as such, meant for chopping through thick foliage, prying open stuck doors, or preparing impromptu field meals as much as killing Dreer's enemies.

Its design is curt, utilitarian, and minimalist, lacking any excessive ornamentation or craftsmanship. The blade itself is made of alchemically-treated Helsteel, granting it excellent resistance against both battle damage and simple travel wear. It will never rust, dull, or require traditional maintenance, and can gracefully withstand direct lightsaber strikes. Likewise, Helsteel's inherent toxicity to life can render small cuts and scrapes more serious than they may appear.

Under most circumstances, it serves as a sturdy but efficient multipurpose tool, and might be mistaken as such to the untrained eye.

When willed to activate, however, the weapon's true nature is a gruesome one. Contact with the blade can have a potent dehydrating effect on its victims, using fine application of the Force to strip moisture from whatever it touches.

This effect extends even to the air around it, and the blade emits a constant, dry hiss when this ability is active.

The field uses are obvious, as a single cut can wither a large tree or gradually dissipate the water from flooded corridors. Its uses in combat are no less impressive, as even seemingly-minor wounds can cause the flesh near them to crumble into fine dust. Sustained or repeated contact can potentially mummify an unfortunate foe entirely, reducing them to a withered corpse.
