  • HISTORY:

    7a09a7f5c3658c6d739c7595a74b2d28.jpg
Darth Cetho has been aware of her Force-sensitivity for as long as she can remember. Her mother, a powerful Dark side sorceress, disappeared early in her life, dying to the side-effects of her own Sith magic. Her mother's disciple, a sorceress by the name of Ava, saw the great power in her former teacher's daughter. The sorceress decided to take the girl as her own disciple, as was expected of a proper Sith.

In the years that followed, Ava rose through the ranks of the Sith, becoming one of the many Darths that terrorized the galaxy. As she amassed more power and gained more knowledge, so did her ambitious apprentice. Darth Cetho, who went by the name of Andrea, carried out many missions for her master, ranging from assassinations and tomb raids to simple errands. The young Sith knew that these missions presented her with the chance to plot against her master. Knowing that she was nowhere near her master in terms of power, Andrea took years to slowly build a network of her own. Her master was too occupied with maintaining her position, and she barely noticed her disciple's alarming independence.

Andrea’s patience lasted more than two decades. Now 34 years old and at the height of her power, she launched her offensive. Gathering her allies and confidants, Andrea challenged her master to a duel to the death. Unable to refuse, the sorceress accepted her disciple's challenge.

    SPOILER_unknown.png
According to the rumors, their duel lasted multiple days, with neither of them gaining the upper hand during the duel. Each spell was countered by the other's and each stroke and flurry of their lightsabers got either parried or deflected. The torrents of lightning kept the hall lit during the nights, until a victor emerged. Darth Cetho, who took her rightful place among the Lords of the Sith.

Far less concerned with the infighting and cutthroat politics of the Sith Order than her former master, Darth Cetho instead set out to increase her already vast knowledge of the Dark side, while taking an apprentice of her own.

Now in her forties, Darth Cetho began to realize that her powerful Sith magic claimed its toll on her body. It was a strong incentive to start dabbling in another field of study. One a little more passive; Sith Alchemy. In the decades that followed, Darth Cetho would go on to deepen her knowledge of Sith Alchemy. Her combined knowledge of these two fields made her more than a match for her overly ambitious apprentice, who lost his life in a Kaggath against the Darth.

In the years that followed, Darth Cetho became more and more reclusive. She preferred to avoid contact with most of her fellow Sith and liked to keep her whereabouts unknown. Most have forgotten about the old Sith, believing her to be either dead or dying. And now, she has returned.

  • APPEARANCE:

Cetho is physically far past her prime, which is clearly reflected in her appearance. Her deep immersion in the Dark side has made her frail and physically weak, something she does not like to admit. Her hands tremble, she has developed a slight hunchback over time, and her sickly yellow eyes lost the spark of power and ambition that long ago were present. This, combined with her thin dark gray hair and pale wrinkled skin, make her hard to look at.

She typically dons a loose-fitting cloak, black in the presence of the Sith and brown if she’s travelling or wandering. She is rarely spotted without her cane and although many suspect it to be a hidden weapon, this is not the case. She keeps her crimson-bladed lightsaber hidden in her right sleeve and has a variety of other tools concealed under her black cloak, depending on what her objective may be.

  • PERSONALITY:

Cetho’s most prominent traits are her sharp wit, her cunning and her intelligence. At first glance however, all that she seems to be is bad-tempered and reluctant to aid even her allies. Cetho is outspoken and has little patience for inconveniences. She rarely shies away from giving her opinion, preferring to directly state her opinion, no matter how controversial or provoking it might be.

Aware of the Dark Side it's corrupting influence, Cetho fears that submerging deeper in the art will lead to an untimely death. She envies the young and detests them for what she considers to be reckless and rash behaviour. What Cetho also can't stand, is when others ask her questions. Rarely does she answer without sarcasm or mocking the questioner.

Despite being part of the Sith, Cetho doesn't value the Rule of the Strong like most other Sith do. In fact, she is known to, on occasion, offer guidance to the lost and the weak, if they are polite enough. She believes that weakness in its very essence is the pathway to strength, as the weak are blank slates with access to endless possibilities. Despite this show of mercy, Cetho is still an dangerous woman. She is ruthless and has no qualms over inflicting pain upon others. Her deep immersion in the Dark Side is backed by a cold, merciless and very objective attitude. She holds grudges for long amounts of time and is willing to work with her enemies to achieve a common goal. Seeking her aid, however, is a dangerous act, for she is by no means an easygoing person. That, and her dark sense of humor is not always appreciated.

  • PROS & CONS (Required: 2 Cons Minimum) :

    Pros:

    Dark Sorceress
Perhaps her physical prowess has waned, but Cetho more than makes up for it with her knowledge of the Force. She is powerful and resourceful, having studied both the arts of Sith Sorcery and Sith Alchemy. The latter became her main field of study in her early 40s, for Sith Magic was starting to have a heavy toll on her corrupted body. But when she is forced in an active role, she still prefers her magic as her main tool.

    Wisdom & Cunning
As expected of someone who focused her life on learning, Darth Cetho’s knowledge seems infinite. But what makes her perhaps even more dangerous, is how easily she can lie and deceive. Darth Cetho twists every word and tries to exploit every being that crosses her path.

    Underestimated
Due to her age and appearance, many underestimate Cetho’s power and cunning.

    Cons:

    Frail body
While she is still able to greatly enhance her own speed, stamina and agility through her mastery of the Force, she can only keep that up for so long. The truth is undeniable, she has grown frail and weak in her old age, and it takes little to incapacitate the witch in a straight up brawl.

    Ignorance is a bliss
Cetho is quick to dismiss that which she does not immediately deem to be important. She cares little about what unfolds in the galaxy now that she has grown old. It is this lack of care that makes her prone to surprises.
