Darkness of the Past (Darkside Nexus Development Thread)

[Darth Vyrassu]

Vyrassu sits in a room calmly in a meditation pose with [member="Kao Xusros"] and [member="Jack Anderson"] as well as a small handful of other Sith. They were sitting on flat thin cushion pads. Vyrassu chanted some words in ancient Sith and waved a hand over each Sith. Each Sith begun seeing the planet Zarchas Kitza in the past. All except Vyrassu, he merely saw memories of himself from 245 ABY.

Vyrassu watched himself cast various rituals in Frost City creating and mutating creatures. He would torture and kill Jedi using rituals. This caused a ripple through the force causing the tundra region to become a Darkside Nexus. So many Jedi killed by rituals from Vyrassu, not just Jedi though, any that opposed his empire.

Vyrassu's vision then would fade and come clear again in recent times, only a few months ago, Vyrassu used a ritual to rip apart the very soul of Darth Midawn tearing a dark energy flood through the force causing all around Zarchas City and the city itself a Darkside Nexus. Vyrassu begun to realize why the power of the Darkside was so strong here.

Vyrassu then had his vision change to the rocky mountains outside of Zarchas City. The Dusuah Sorcerers Tower. All the rituals Vyrassu has done there as well as the Dusuah Sorcerers, so many dark rituals to cause another Darkside Nexus.

So far The Tundra, Rocky Mountains and Zarchas City as well as Dusuah tower were all Darkside Nexuses caused by Rituals and death. But in order for the entire planet to have been a Nexus, the oceans and Grasslands, beaches, swamps, and jungles would have to be a Nexus as well all connecting together. Vyrassu knew about the Jungles reason for it to be a Nexus, hopefully the other Sith were having luck in their visions of seeing the Nexuses in the grasslands, beaches, swamps, and oceans.

Kao Xusros sat patiently, and most importantly quietly. His head bowed in respect, for within this very same room was the Emperor himself, who was conducting the ritual of sorts. [member="Darth Vyrassu"] started off the ritual sending one after another of those inside into a trance, with Kao being the last one to go through.

Almost immediately, Kao saw things... Great plains, no grasslands. Such openness, and yet a great emptiness. All of a sudden, something large fell from the sky, smoldering lightly as it fell. As it hit the ground, a shockwave was created, and right behind it, a grand exodus of a gaseous mixture, both green and grey. As the gas spread the wreckage opened up to show a huge bomb, one with a small timer on it. 3, 2, 1, it counted down, until nothing remained upon the screen except for a big zero. Then it exploded, and as the fiery tendrils of the bomb touched the gas, the gas itself imploded and multiplied, only running out of room when it began to hit the edges of the enormous grasslands. Nothing which was once there was the same, mostly charred or ash.

The images sped up, as if time were passing, and only slowed down in time for Kao to see a dark ritual. There were cages, cages filled with innocents, and then there were the thousands of normal Sith Acolytes and Sorcerers. As the ritual grew louder and louder, the more powerful it became and the more power it required. Soon the time came, and the innocents were slaughtered for blood, and with such the rest of the thousands of gathered participants, both willingly and unwillingly died. All dead, but their spirits still lingered. Time once more sped up, and yet the spirits still lingered, just their physical presence began to fade away to nothing. And with such, a Dark side Nexus was created.

Time continued to run at an abnormally high rate, as Sith went around and built a city, a city known as Totem City. The city thrived, and then suddenly Time went still as the city's populace was wiped out during the gulag plague. Time began to flow again, and then stopped, with Kao's vision going dark. He managed to start seeing again, once the trance had cleared. He found himself in the same room in which he had started out in, a bit confused, but more so amazed at what he had seen.

Vyrassu's vision changed to his next memory. His Dark temple in the jungles. A secluded fortress, where he conducted Alchemy, rituals and other dark magic. It was here he did a ritual that killed every wild creature in the area that tore a ripple through the force causing a Nexus to form. His continuation of dark magic turned the Nexus dark and would connect to the Nexus in the swamps and the rocky mountain region nearby.

Vyrassu could still sense all the death in the jungles from the creatures he killed. A looming presence of death would certainly make anyone feel uneasy that didn't enjoy the feeling from this. Vyrassu could now see the Nexus spreading from the Tundra region, over the rocky mountains, to the jungles, smaller nexuses connecting into a bigger Nexus, but this wasn't enough, he had to know the reasons behind the Nexus in the swamps, oceans and beaches, these would connect everything together to be a planet wide Nexus. 3 regions discovered for answers, now onto 3 others. Hopefully the others having their visions would have the answers he sought.

In his presence he felt [member="Kao Xusros"] had found the answers of the grasslands and totem city. So much war, so much death, then totem city wiped out by the gulag plague, all those spirits still lingering, the rituals and death, clear explanation for the Nexus there.

[Darth Vyrassu]

Vyrassu then remembered The Dead Valley. His vision changed to The Dead Valley. Ruins, pillars, obelisks and tombs all over this massive snow valley. Hundreds of Sith lie in the tombs here dead. Several spirits linger in the area causing a Darkside Nexus. The place reminded Vyrassu of Korriban, Valley of the Dark Lords but with Snow. It gave him a small smile, it was home korriban was. So this would be nice. This further pushed the Nexus in the Tundra region, now to explore the Nexus located in the oceans, beaches, and swamps. It would all make sense soon enough.

[Darth Vyrassu]

Darth Vyrassu's vision flashed to the swamps, this was a memory. A faction of criminals that were well armed were fighting the population of the planet for control, each Cities police forces were on the front line fighting the merc criminals. Vyrassu entered the battlefield and had his Sith evacuate the planets forces. Once done Vyrassu conducted a ritual that killed all the enemy force within minutes causing a Darkside Nexus.

Vyrassu remembered this back in 245 ABY. So many death in these swamps. Vyrassu wondered if their bodies or bones were still present, probably not due to wild animals eating them or time decayed them. Vyrassu remembered the celebration the plant threw for The Jen'ari Empire for freeing the people and ending the battle. The Jen'ari Empire was sought as saviours.

This explained the Swamp nexus. Now to move onto the beaches and ocean. In short time everything would be explained for the planet wide Darkside Nexus.

[Darth Vyrassu]

Vyrassu's vision changed to the beach city known as Bay City. Vyrassu now realized this vision was the past, during the cold war of old republic. Vyrassu watched as a ritual was done to enslave the people of Bay City that resisted the Empire. Their minds dominated and wills broken by multiple Sith sorcerers. This didn't change for a century. But then Vitiate came with his Infinite Empire and performed a ritual on those in bay city he considered weak. This ritual killed a massive amount of the population. This caused a Darkside Nexus to form over the entirety of the Beaches region near Bay City.

Now the Beaches were explained for a Nexus that connected to the Nexus in the Grasslands connecting to the Swamps connecting to the jungles to the rocky mountains and over into the Tundra. So far all was explained except the city that was out in the oceans. It was time to get the last piece of the puzzle.
