Many people said homecomings were a bitter sweet event. A grand show of returning to ones roots and reconnecting with the friends and family you left behind and a way to show that you had grown and developed as an individual. Especially for younglings it was a truly joyous occasion. Callidus however saw it for the egotistical practice that it was. No one returned home out of longing or affection for others. No, you returned home to compare yourself to your old life. You did it to show that you were better than those that stayed behind. It was one of life's ultimate tests.

On the brink of her bow homecoming, Callidus could say that she could compare favorably to her past.

She looked down at the world below her, its drab green and blue surface, nothing special in the galaxy, slowly turning in the endless cycle of entropy. There was moderate traffic flowing to and from the planet, though it was hardly what it had been during her time as ruler of the world. With all the changes in the galaxy, Denab had fallen even further beneath the radar of the powerful and influential. A backwater among backwaters. It would serve Callidus well while she sought to rebuild her power base.

The door hissed open behind Callidus, drawing her attention away from the view of Denab. A young twi'lek walked into the observation deck of the Obsidian Eternum, the last ship that Callidus had to her name after the events of the Sith Ascendant Order. The young girl bowed her head deeply to Callidus, her lekku falling and dangling around her head as she extended a datapad towards the Sith Lord. Callidus extended a hand, the datapad flying from the girls grasp and into Callidus's, eliciting a gasp from the youngling as Callidus looked at the datapad.

A frown creased Callidus's face as she read the datapad. "Is the communication officer certain about this message?" The youngling nodded her head but dared not speak. Biting her lip, Callidus tapped at the datapad for a few seconds before nodding her head, putting the pad down on a nearby console. "Very well, please inform our guest that he has permission to dock and escort him here without delay."

As the youngling departed the room, Callidus turned back to look out the viewport. She had hoped her arrival back in Sith space would have gone unnoticed for a bit longer, but that had been a vain hope. She knew a meeting with her old comrades was inevitable, but she had dreamed it would be in the throne room of Bastion of Shadows. Now, though, she would have to confront their representatives here. It was fitting she supposed; a simple justice for trying to sneak around in Sith space given who her old friends were.

The Tsis'kaar always found out.
