There is a blank space in the heart of the Galaxy. A pulsation of death. Something is returning after a long absence, full of hunger for blood and power. Some forces cannot be reasoned with. Some groups do not want kingdoms, slaves, don't want to collect planets like so many marbles, they only want to see the stars in flames. We are the source of the wordless fear that you have felt. Your division, delusion, distraction are all blood in the water. The predator was always there, and you simply could not see it.Now, the time has come for the Swarm to feast. Nightsisters, Vahl, Sith - all are welcome in the Darkness. From out of the forbidden planet of Uribin, we shall strike, and we shall taste the carnage we desire.
The Swarm is a Dark Side minor faction, created on the proposition that it would not be a political group, or an Imperialist group, but provide a sanctuary for those who simply want to plumb the outer depths of dark knowledge or sow total chaos amidst the Galaxy.
All character concepts are welcome - criminals, warlords, and darksiders will be of equal standing. The Swarm is of decentralized leadership, loosely organized around a crusade based off Uribin, a planet of debauchery and strange society.
The theme of the organization is religious as well as militant, with a focus on the worship of the abstract concepts of the Dark Side, evil, and destruction. Whether as Typhojem the Left-Handed, the Soul Worm, the Lady With The Locust Heart, or Sargon the All-Encompassing, ceremony, sacrifice, and strange ritual are a key part of the faction's aesthetic. All are welcome to join the crusade - and all will be our victims!
