Tyrant Queen of Darkness

What is the Dark Court?
The Dark Court is a secretive Dark Side society led by Darth Virelia, formed in the wake of her exile from the Sith Order. It is a network of agents, informants, and loyal operatives working toward one goal: to bring the galaxy quietly under their corruption.
Rather than wage open war, the Court thrives on subtlety, corruption, and manipulation—operating in the shadows to influence governments, corporations, criminal syndicates, and even other Force traditions.
In-character, the Dark Court is invisible to most. Operatives are embedded across the galaxy, using their positions to shape events, gather intelligence, and weaken opposition. The Court uses infiltration, blackmail, seduction, and strategic assassination far more often than direct military force. When the Court does move openly, it is only because the outcome is already inevitable.
Out-of-character, because it operates as a covert network rather than a formal government or military, almost any character concept can find a place within its reach. Senators, smugglers, bounty hunters, diplomats, pirates, mercenaries, Force adepts, information brokers, even seemingly ordinary citizens—all can be used as assets in the grand design. You don't need to be a Dark Sider or even know the Court exists to be caught in its web. A merchant might find themselves pressured into smuggling illicit goods for an unknown employer; a soldier might unknowingly be acting on falsified orders written by a Court agent. The point is that the story possibilities are limitless.
The Dark Court is also not limited by alignment or morality in the traditional sense. Characters can willingly serve for power, money, influence, or survival—or they can be pawns manipulated into advancing the agenda without realizing it. Some may suspect they're part of something larger, others may never truly know who is pulling the strings. This allows for plots that range from high-profile political intrigue to quiet, personal stories of corruption, betrayal, and transformation. Whether you want to play a scheming mastermind at the top, a double agent balancing loyalties, or a low-level operative just beginning to glimpse the truth, the Dark Court provides the scaffolding for your character to thrive in the shadows.

Why the Dark Court?
The Dark Court is a faction built for story opportunity. Whether your character is a senator with political ambitions, a wandering mercenary chasing credits, or a Force adept searching for forbidden knowledge, the Court can give them something they can't get anywhere else—access to a hidden web of influence that spans the galaxy. You don't have to "fit a mold" to write here. The Court thrives on variety, using every kind of skill, background, and personality to further its designs. If your character can act, speak, persuade, or survive, they can be useful—and in the Dark Court, usefulness is power.
We focus on long-term, character-driven storytelling over forced, one-note faction arcs. That means your character's personal goals matter. You can write a deep infiltration plot, a slow-burn corruption arc, or a single high-risk job that changes the game. The Court gives you freedom to create, but also the safety net of a faction-wide network that will open doors for collaboration and keep your character connected to larger events without dictating their every move. Our secrecy also means you can be part of another public faction while still serving the Court in the shadows—doubling your story options.
If you want intrigue instead of simple battles, manipulation instead of brute force, and the thrill of playing a part in a galaxy-wide conspiracy, the Dark Court is the perfect stage. Whatever your character's starting point, there's a role here for them—and a path to more power than they imagined.
