He has been able to protect what wealth he has left by scattering it throughout the galaxy in various accounts under different aliases to prevent the Shadow Man from stealing anything more from his family.
+ Honest: He can always be counted on to be honest, his honesty being what has gotten him where he is today. He holds no love for those who deal in manipulations and lies, and takes great stock in those who are honest and upfront with him.
+/- Unyielding: When he has decided upon an action, or actions, nothing will sway him from his decision. He will not accept bribes, he will not be dissuaded by threats at his life, he will remain unyielding in his decisions. This can lead to both positive and negative outcomes.

BIOGRAPHY:
Born on the Republic capital of Coruscant, before it was sacked, Daren grew up in a relatively privileged life. His family had just enough wealth to be considered influential and nobility, but not enough to make a lasting difference in political agendas, and they never desired for more than what they had; making their wealth through arms dealings with private clients in various sectors of the galaxy. They even provided home necessities to sectors that would otherwise be unable to get them, at a discounted price - often travelling into enemy space to complete contracts they had taken.
His family's business was paramount to their status on Coruscant and as such, his father and mother often threw political gala's to attain more contracts with various enterprises, both criminal and not. Their money was the life source of their nobility, holding no other claim to power other than their wealth. But, it was not to last, as his fathers business shattered and his contracts were sabotage by a close friend of the family who was jealous over his fathers success.
After the failing of his small company, his father ushered his family off world in an attempt to escape the targets that had been placed on their backs by his fathers clients - some notorious gangsters, and others being wealthy investors. His family fled the during the sacking of Coruscant six years ago, and found a new life on Ossus. They managed to scrape by on meager livings, his father working local trades and his mother doing the same.
It wasn't long after that that his mother and father were both found murdered by an unknown assailant who wasn't aware that Daren was on the world with his parents. He narrowly escaped death that day, but his parents weren't so fortunate; though they were smart.
It wasn't until his twenty-first year of his life that he received a notice of a substantial amount of credits left to him in a private - untouched - account under an alias by his father and mother. The remnant of his family's wealth before the business was sabotaged - it was to be his inheritance. Fearing that he would be found out by his fathers clients, he had the credits scattered in various banks, each under a different alias to protect what legacy his parents had left him.
It was then that he decided to work for the betterment of the Republic, taking a position in the Republic military for five years, until he found himself discharged with honors for his valor in combat. However, he was not done with his drive to help the Republic, so he turned his attention to a new avenue; A senatorial seat.
The time as a Senator was extremely short lived as the lifestyle did not suit him, and he needed the freedom to act of his own accord without political repercussions.
