SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Repulsors: Several repulsors pulled from Mandalorian Vambraces have been installed on the shield. As such Darasuum Morut can create an extremely powerful blast within a 4m long x 2m wide cone, starting at 1m wide at the shield. At close range, this blast can crush bone, inflict several deep gashes to the flesh, and cave in thin durasteel armor. At the medium distance and onwards this blast can easily send standard weight humanoids flying or push over light walkers.
  • Force Destabilization: Due to the Arikyrzium Crystal-Beskar Alloy back plate to the shield, there is a 1m bubble that runs the length of the shield in all directions. This bubble causes destabilization and dampening effects on those who try to influence the Force. This includes creating or maintaining Force constructs, starting or maintaining Force attacks or defenses (force push, force lightning, etc.), creating or maintaining Force-based telepathic links through the area of effect, and so forth. See Arikyrzium Crystal for further details.
Strengths:
  • Force Destabilization: Due to the Arikyrzium Crystal used within the shield's construction, this item retains all the effects as mentioned within the Arikyrzium Crystal factory submission.
  • Repulsor: Once per post this item can exude a burst from the repulsor array that extends up to a 4m long x 2m wide cone. This burst can crush bone, totally cave in armor up to plates of durasteel, blast through duracrete, or trip light walkers such as the AT-RT , AT-DP, AT-DT , up to an AT-ST at point-blank range. The damage from this ability counts as concussive force, much like a shock-wave from a large explosion.
  • Beskar: This item is made from Beskar and Beskar alloys. As such it has incredible durability against blasters, kinetic weapons, and lightsabers.
  • EMP Protection: This item uses Duraplast that is reinforced to be highly EMP resistant and Ion resistant.
Weaknesses:
  • Super Heavy: Due to the amount of technology added in combination with the sheer amount of Beskar and Beskar alloys used to construct the shield, this item is classified as a "Super Heavy" weapon. It can only be used by those with the top tiers of strength and/or Powersuits specifically designed to use Super Heavy infantry style weapons and armor.
  • Slow Fire: Despite the use of a Diatium Power Cell, in order to store enough energy in the repulsor emitters to create such a destructive burst there is a recharge period of several seconds. This burst can only be used once per post.
  • Force Destabilization: Due to the Arikyrzium Crystal used within the shield's construction, this item retains all the effects as mentioned within the Arikyrzium Crystal factory submission. This also includes beneficial effects such as receiving force healing or barriers.
DESCRIPTION

Valdus' shield has been a staple to his kit for years. He always is on the lookout for another type of shield. One of his largest battlefield disadvantages is those who rely on the force for there fighting. As Valdus is a non-force user and cannot be bothered to always have a Ysalamir strewn about his shoulders, Valdus began looking into other materials that may have properties that negatively impact the force. He came across mentions of a material named Void Stone and despite his searching, he could find none of it for sale or where it originated from. Years later Valdus discovered a scarcely known planet named Nellogant. During his exploration Valdus found crystals buried deep in the icy-chasms of Nellogant. Originally he thought that these metallic crystals would be nothing more than a novelty item, however, he soon realized that they had a negative impact on the force through means such as being near force user comrades. Valdus implemented this new wonder material the backing of his shield for protection against the numerous users of the force the Galaxy had to offer. Additionally, Valdus realized that Lightsabers are much less effective when they're farther away. Due to this monumental revelation, Valdus tore apart several Mandalorian Vambraces and refit the repulsors into the shield's construction. Along with some other materials for energy and longevity, the shield was complete. It was now time to give the new masterpiece a name: Darasuum Morut, the Eternal Haven.

Darasuum Morut is a one-of-a-kind shield that enables the bearer to defend themselves against kinetic, blaster, lightsaber, and force powers to a very high degree. There is additional utility and damage potential provided by the repulsor array. The array is capable of toppling light walkers, or even blowing out one of the legs of an AT-ST causing the same effect. The repulsors can also be used to break standard walls made of duracrete, destroy plated durasteel constructions and armor, break apart infantry lines, deflect tons of weight in debris or projectiles, and break a fall. Darasuum Morut is more than just a shield, it is the culmination of decades of craftsmanship, ingenuity, and the wondrous combination of Arikyrzium Crystals and Beskar - the hallmark metal of the Mando'ade.
