Dane's Consolation

Dane patrolled the Jedi Temple, deep in thought. He had just passed the Padawan Trials not but a week prior to this moment. All this had been accomplished, yet the boy had still not been appointed a Master, which he thought was very strange. As Dane walked through different halls and corridors, he saw a multitude of different species pass him, which was something he was accustomed to.

"I know I'm ready... I'm just not sure who'll take me," Teraan thought aloud, passing one different individual after another. He relaxed his mind as he walked through the halls of the great Temple. "No matter what happens, the Force will guide me through the toughest of times."

Cambria walked along one of the main hallways of the massive Yutani Jedi Temple, dressed in her modified Jedi robes with a bronze-colored hooded cloak covering the two-piece outfit. The heavy brown fabric flowed about her as if she might be floating across the floor, but did not bellow as a lighter cape would. The Rutian Twi'lek preferred the protection of the wool against the elements, both of cold and warmth, which her native planet of Ryloth had depending if one lived in the Brightlands or the Nightlands.

It had been awhile since returning to her homeworld, though the legends and traditions inspired her. Cambria not only carried the weapon of a Jedi Knight hanging from the left side of a leather utility belt slung low off her shapely hips, but also the weapon of a Twi'lek warrior - a dagger, that was sheathed in her right boot. Sometimes a blaster pistol would be added, but usually only if going into battle. Today, hopefully, the only battle waged would be with the insects that were plentiful this time of year on Yutan.

Even before turning the corner, the Guardian sensed the consternation of another just around on the other side. The blue-skinned Twi'lek slowed her pace, then gold-speckled hazel orbs gazed kindly upon the boy as they met up.

"You are correct, young one.... The Force is always with you," Bri offered having heard [member="Dane Teraan"]'s mumblings. He looked to be about thirteen or so - normally about the time of transition from a youngling to a padawan.

"Greetings, I am Knight Cambria Zadira," she added with a bow of her head and a respectful twitch of her lekku, then asked of his name. "And what has you so troubled, hmm? Perhaps you would like to join me in the mess hall... I was just on my way for a cup of tea myself."

Dane was stunned by the presence of the Twi'lek Jedi, having only heard of her through word of mouth. She towered over the young boy, who sported tan tones with a brown utility belt at his waist. He was short of words for a moment - not knowing what to say to an offer such as what he had just been given from a Jedi of her stature. Eventually, Dane let out a few words.

"I'd be happy to," the boy remarked as he looked Knight Zadira with curiosity and gratitude for giving him company. "I just haven't been appointed to a Master, yet. I'm patient, but I've neither received word from the Council or met anyone who's been willing to take me as their Padawan."

The boy shook his head as he pondered his words for a moment. He wondered if the Twi'lek would be someone who was willing, though he didn't want himself to be too excited. After, he'd been turned down before. The presence that Cambria gave off was very comforting - a trait that Dane had seen in others that he had met beforehand.

"I will be most glad for the company," Bri replied offering a small smile before starting on her way again hopefully with the boy in tow.

As they walked further down the hallway, the Twi'lek Knight listened thoughtfully to [member="Dane Teraan"]'s concerns. He was anxious over not being picked yet by someone to be his master. It was a reasonable worry for someone who was transitioning from a youngling to a padawan learner. Cambria remembered her own trepidation before Master Antone Soros took her to be his student. The elder Zabrak ended up being like a father figure to the young Twi'lek. It had been a good match. The Guardian would not be the Jedi she was today if not for his teachings and wise guidance.

"I understand your anxiety over not having a master yet, though trust in the will of the Force... When you least expect it, the right one for you will come along," she nodded sagely.

The two entered the dinning hall. It was in between meal times so the main kitchen was closed, though there was a snack bar that had the basics. Cambria pulled a Sapir tea bag out from a pouch on her leather utility belt. She grabbed a cup and saucer, then placed the tea bag into the cup and poured hot, steaming water over it. As the tea steeped, the blue-skinned Twi'lek moved over to a table nearby and sat down; slipping off her cloak as she waited for Dane to join her with his drink and/or food of choice.

"So... What areas of the Force do you find intriguing and/or easy to learn, and which are more difficult or perhaps even boring?"

While the answer to the posed question was forthcoming, the tea bag was taken out and a sip of the aromatic green tea was taken.
