Strengths:
  • The Cyracuse is a ship designed for one purpose - get as many drones into the fray as possible. It has tremendous capacity in its fighter bay for drones, or alternatively for fighters if need be.
Weaknesses:
  • The Cyracuse only has anti-fighter weaponry and will be easily overcome by even standard corvettes armed with anti-warship weaponry.
Description: Originally designed as a replacement for the Block 2 iteration of the Subjugator assault ship that had been used by the Sith Empire for years, the Cyracuse-class Drone Carrier soldered on through the Fel-Imperial War and the time of the New Order. Recent advances in ship systems and reactor technology have allowed the picket carrier to fit up to 48 fighters and bombers within its hangar, launched and received through the side-mounted launch tubes. Traditionally, however, the Cyracuse has been used to ferry Scrapmetal-class Drones to the battlefield for use in suicide attacks on enemy warships. It is intended to be launched into the rear of a fleet, deploy its drones, then exit the battlefield. While its anti-fighter defenses are stellar, its anti-warship armament is, to say the least, minimal if not nonexistent. The Cyracuse, when confronted with enemy warships at short range, is almost certain to be destroyed by enemy anti-warship cannons. That said, it can in theory muster up a defense with its fighter/bomber or drone complement if engaged from long enough away to launch its wings.

[member="Vanessa Vantai"], this latest iteration at the bottom looks solid and ready for approval. If you wouldn't mind deleting the old submission that's also in here, we should be ready for approval.
