Intent: To let Death's Hand have a working arm and the systems in his body to allow it to function properly as well as conceal a repeating ion disruptor in an easy to conceal form.

Description:
Following the capture and "reconditioning" of a valued target, Jacen Cavill set to work. Seeing that his patient was mentally broken and destroyed, he went about fixing his major physical weakness. Repairing the man's spine had been easy, bacta and surgery had helped alleviate those concerns. While they had him open, they braced his spine and the muscles surrounding it to carry a heavier load than usual. The titanium plates that were inserted into his body formed a case to protect him from the weight imbalance while also allowing a neural network to be set up for the arm to better integrate in the man's body. These wires allowed sensations such as heat, pressure, cold, and anything that might be recognized as pain to be felt.
The arm itself has titanium and wires for it's inner workings. Pistons and servos mimic the functions of the arms muscles and allow it to have the normal range of motion that an arm would. Extra thought had been given to give it super strength, but it does have it's limits. To try and crush anything puts quite a drain on it's power systems, which must be changed out every few days. To do so would risk having the arm become fully drained. It's cortosis/durasteel weave exterior allows it lightsaber resistance and resistance from energy weapons. Against slug throwers, and explosives it is useless and can be punched through if it is hit. Nothing special was done to give it further advantages, trusting that the man would be able to defend himself against such threats. Repeated hits from a ligthsaber can break through the arm's exterior like any other cortosis weave material. It also has a communicator and tracking device built in so that Death's Hand can stay in touch with his Master or those he is working for.
This construction worked for a time, until Cavill saw a company with a product he couldn't ignore. Contacting iBorg, he sent his assassin to have his arm modified. Blending the two concepts, this customized Nyjax was constructed by replacing the original inner workings with that of the Nyjax. The concealed ion disruptor is housed within the cortosis weave arm, and its not an appealing prosthetic. It has all the weaknesses of the standard Nyjax, simply with a few different inner and outer workings for this custom piece.
Writers note: This won't be used to disintegrate folks in pvp without permission, same with glancing blows.

Effective Range: Personal. Even with advanced targeting gear, the Nyax is a relatively short-ranged weapon, incapable of the precise long-range shots of stabilized long-barrel disruptors. In accuracy, it is best compared to a pistol, shotgun or submachine gun, though the shot does keep going as far as a classic disruptor blast (several hundred metres).
Rate of Fire: Single-shot, charged shot, three-shot burst, or fully automatic. Automatic fire exhausts 40-shot energy cell clip in four seconds. Charged shot exhausts energy clip in 8 shots. Disintegration not possible; see below.
Special Features: Resistant to Sith Lightning, and ion weapons. It's cortosis weave exterior protects it from energy weapons and lightsabers. It's only other features of note are a communicator(and tracker for Jacen Cavill), and the ability to crush steel thanks to the powerful pistons in the arm itself. Also is supported by durasteel plates screwed within the patients spine and small servo motors that allow the user to compensate for the extra weight. Special sensors make the user able to "feel" contact on the arm and this wiring helps support the full prostesis.
- Like all ion disruptors, the Nyax is capable of causing disruptor-grade physical damage along with ion-blaster-grade electronic damage.
- From concealment as a normal droid-like prosthetic arm, it can deploy and fire in four seconds.
- Reloads/plugs in via energy cell clip socket near the elbow, easily managed with the opposite hand.
