Description: In a Galaxy filled with disgusting, malformed creatures, one might think natural beauty was among the least desirable traits one could obtain; rather, the skill for survival would be a much greater boon. However, in the case of Daska and Hu Talatheen, ugliness was no word to describe the horrifying deformation they had been born with; neigh, by the extension of conjoined twins, it could be considered an entirely different condition. Daska, while generally whole, while largely unattractive, played host to his parasitic twin, Hu, who resided upon his back, conjoined by a shared spine. While both hold endless boundaries to a mixture of sympathy and malevolence, twisting and turning in a flux of distorted philosophies and equally contradictory behavior, they sought to conceal their nature from others, and the most obvious solution would be a disguise.
The mask consists of two separate pieces: a helmet, which holds a scanner upon the forehead, which allows Hu, whose skull connects near the nape of Daska's spine, to see as his sibling does; and the actual mask, which contains only a breath mask to filter out dense particles, such as smoke. Small switches near either temples activate a series of clockwork locks along the external facets, which release a series of piston-like bolts, allowing independent removal and exposing the wearer's face. While offering little to no protection (though it may be resistant to more blunt strikes), the mask serves it primary purpose as an aesthetic while also remaining comfortable over the Amalgam's deformities and providing additional, small benefits.
