Intent: To create a crystal that was implanted into Kamon to amplify his ability to touch the Force and make him controllable by the right people.
Development Thread: Not really a development thread, but the first post lays the groundwork: The Dread Blades
Manufacturer: The Believers
Model: N/A
Affiliation: Kamon Vondiranach
Modularity: No
Production: Unique
Material: Made of Force Crystals
Description:
While in the captivity of the Believers, they took four Force Crystals and imbued them with the darkside of the Force. When that was done, they implanted the crystals within his chest, attached to his rib cage in a box around his heart. In doing so, the darkness affected his very being, providing the downside of turning a former Grandmaster of the Rogue Jedi into a machine for slaughter and destruction, forcing him to fall to the darkside regardless of his wishes and ability to fight their taint.

The crystals had two "positive" effects. One, they boosted his ability to touch the Force, and two, they made it so that he could be controlled. Though there was some miscalculation as to the strength that was gifted to him, which led to the slaughter of the Believers at his hands. These crystals act much like the Kaiburr Crystal, but not at such a grand scale. Kamon was always Force weak except in the White Current. These crystals gave him better control, so he can do other things with the Force, but they do not amplify him to god status. It just puts him onto an even playing field with most other Force users rather than being a simple Force enhanced swordsman.

Then there's the downside of the fact that, should someone figure out how, they can utilize the crystals to control him against his will. Their nature was created to allow him to be a weapon, a mere tool of those that would wield him against the Light. Should someone deduce this fact, it could be used to make him a puppet against his will.

Notes:
1. This does not make him a god amongst Force Users. It just brings him up to the status of most Force Users on the board in strength.
2. He can have it used against him if someone figures out how to tap into the crystals and control him.
3. The darkside taint will never go away, and will always fight to control him, even should he gain some sort of control over it.
4. White Current is one of the deepest parts of the lightside and can only be used by someone in the light, while he could use it if he removed the taint completely, it's unlikely that he'll ever be able to use it again.
5. No, you aren't likely to gain control of him really easily. For one, you have to know the crystals are there in order to utilize them, and you also need access to the original text that went into their creation. At present only Valik has this capability. Even if you try for control, he will resist you. The Believers weren't able to hold him, but it's possible that someone, or a group of someones, strong in the Force could overtake him. I will be reasonable with this. It would be boring if it never happened.

I would have preferred knowing about these when the armor was made.
Does he still have a mastery of White Current, and compare to other specialized masters of it?
How easily could I take control?

So, to clarify, this is there to make up for your inability to use the force with the armor?
I've never liked something that forces someone to fall. But, as that's not my place to say, I'll let that lie.
Clarify the above and you should be good.

No, it's there because the Believers wanted more than just a swordmaster for their weapon. He wasn't that great at Force control before the crystals were put into him. I often lost a lot of fights because he couldn't do the things others could do. Now he can, but it comes with the price of tainting him with the darkside. Also this can't ever be transferred to someone else, so nobody else will be forced to fall because of it. It'll be within him forever.

You're an ex-grandmaster. Even as a white current specialist, these would put you over the top if they work as you described. While I do realize some of the masters here are insanely powerful, they've done a lot of work to get there for that. So, if you want to have access to these, I'm going to ask for an extensive Dev thread done to make one of these crystals.

I thought I specified that they didn't make me over powerful, they just put me on the level of the other Master's? I was not a total master of the white current. I was only relatively good at making illusions with it, and not substantially large ones (I could basically make myself and maybe a couple other people disappear). Yes, I'm an Ex-grandmaster. Grandmaster's don't have to be totally Force powerful, they just need to be intelligent and good leaders (also RJO didn't really do much and only had a handful of members). Kamon has been around since 2001 and I've essentially always wrote him as a simple bladesman with some minor Force talents. I don't plan on doing a dev thread for this because I don't really think it's warranted. It's not making me stronger than anyone else, it's putting me on their level (think Corran Horn getting to the point where he can do things on the level of your typical Old Republic Jedi). If it's going to require an extensive dev thread, for something that Kamon himself didn't make, and which has plenty of precedent, then I'd rather just say forget it and have the crystals break at some point in a private thread.

The Kaiburr crystal and Force crystals are all listed on Wookieepedia in regards to enhancing ones connection to the Force. They already do that. This dev is largely just to add the darkside taint and the control. I could just say he's had Force crystals implanted in him without a dev for it.

So, out of curiosity, why change this now?

A Grandmaster is still a master force wielder. That's part of their point. Adding to that kind of power with a force artifact

Also, everyone who has or uses a force crystal, to my knowledge, has done a dev thread to get them. If they haven't, they should have. Any Force artifact shouldn't be free without at least some work.

I cannot approve this without a dev thread being done, even if it's from an NPC perspective.

Yes, and Corran Horn was one even though he sucked at all things telekinetic.

Regardless, I'm not going to spend the time to do a dev thread for something I intended to just get me on an even playing field. I'll just destroy them in one of the private threads I'm in instead and go back to being a Rogue bladesman.

Also, I changed it now because I thought it would be fun and freshen the character up.

Because Force crystals are powerful enough to require a Dev thread to find, and for refusal to comply with the request for a dev thread, I'm denying this submission. Feel free to post in here if you feel this is unfair.
