Crouching Tiger, Hidden Wayne?

Location: Open space aboard Freighter.

Well this was a first. Jahan was hired by a rather rich business man for one purpose. To learn Teras Kasi of all things. Interestingly enough Teras Kasi was an art that few had properly perfected in their lifetimes. The Cathar was a noted master with the Bounty Hunting Guild but to some that was not enough. It was something the oversized cat would have to deal with down the road, maybe. Training others in such an art would be a delight... It meant a decent pay out. Haha. But also a chance to teach some of what he learned long ago.

The meeting location had been sent days ago. [member="Judas Wayne"] was to meet Jahan aboard his freighter via open space docking. The ship had more than enough space to host a quantity of items, beasts and other such needs. It also served the Cathar as a portable home. Waiting near the docking bay entrance Jahan filed it claws cleaning them on his last mission. It seems there was still some Weequay flesh in his five digit paws. Adorned ceremonial toga type robe he waited.

" Hmm."

The roar of an AI-09 starfighter engine would be deafened by the cold vacuum of space as Judas Wayne approached the lone freighter. The Wayne Tech CEO was rather satisfied with the location of their meeting, as he wasn't trained at all in martial arts and was likely to get his ass kicked by the Cathar bounty hunter. It wasn't something he wanted to get out into the tabloids, to say the least. The last thing he wanted right now was to show up on some cheap magazine bloodied and beaten to a pulp.
He engaged the autopilot docking system and stretched his legs. It had been a long journey from Roon and he was very much looking forward to the workout. He grabbed the duffel bag from beneath his seat and stood up. The bag was rather heavy, filled with an assortment of items as payment for his lessons. It contained a couple of Wayne Tech's newest rifle attachment, the Ion beamer. Made of a light titanium alloy, the beams fired from the device completely ignored lightsabers as well as most shields and armor. Even better, the device incapacitated rather than killed. Perfect indeed for a bounty hunter. There was also a clip of Force-cloaked Taozin bullets and a small bag of credits within. A rather small price to pay for the ability to fight like a warrior (or so he hoped).
He stepped on board the freighter, immediately seeing the large Cathar waiting for him. Judas had worked with a few of the feline species in the past, but Jahan was bigger. Much bigger. He could tell this one was a fighter, much unlike the (literally) fat cats he was used to doing business with.
He dropped the duffel bag and slid it over to the bounty hunter. "I think you'll find everything in there that we agreed on. You can check it, I won't be offended."

With a quick gaze at [member="Judas Wayne"] the Cathar smiled and examined his pupil and then to the duffel bag he slid on by. " I will take you on your word, Mr. Wayne. If the bag is full of fodder... You will see me again soon." Jahan stated and let out a hearty joyful laugh in jest of the situation. His deep voice boomed within the his freighter. " Now we will begin immediately. Time is a precious currency as you well know." He said motioning the man to follow Jahan into the next storage room of the freighter. The duffel bag was left on the floor, it was not going anywhere and in Jahans mind there was no need to search through it now. The Medium sized door opened wide revealing a padded arena. There were markings on the floor and diagrams apon the walls, all displaying different forms, strikes and stances commonly used in the martial art known as Teras Kasi.

" Teras Kasi is a much sought after martial practice that many desire and few have the patience to endure." His voice seemed to emphasize that last word more clearly than the rest. Endure. After all that was what fighting was endurance. Standing on the furtherest side of the padded arena Jahan tilted his head and motioned the man to stand opposite of him.

" A good offense is the best defense, A good defense is the best offense. Which do you stand by Mr. Wayne?" The question aimed to gauge the type of student the Cathar warrior was to be working with. " I am not looking for a right or wrong answer, just your mind."

Straight to the point, he liked that. Judas followed Jahan into the makeshift arena, immediately becoming impressed with the training room. He knew immediately that he had hired the right person for the job; the Cathar bounty hunter was taking this just as seriously as he was. This was something he had learned to appreciate in a business partner over the years. People like that were few and far between these days, so it seemed.
"I think," he said as he began removing his coat, "that it entirely depends on the circumstance. Some opponents are likely more aggressive, while others are better defensively. I believe in adaptability. I believe in using the situation to your advantage."
Of course, none of this came from any actual combat experience. Very little, anyways. Judas was an intelligent man and a strategic thinker, part of what drew him to Teräs Käsi. He knew that he was destined for something more; something bigger than himself. He already possessed the mentality for such ambitions, he now needed to train his body to match it. He had very high hopes that Jahan was the one to help him reach this fullest potential.
The Epicanthix removed his coat to reveal a workout outfit underneath. He was, for all sakes and purposes, already in excellent physical shape. He had been training for months to prepare himself for the crucibles he would soon face, though his physique was of stark contrast to that of the bounty hunter. Still, he felt prepared for what was to come next.

" Spoken like a true business man." Jahan smirked and took a deep grounded stance. The gentle gaze that naturally irradiated from his golden eyes was no longer there. Somewhere between the Catars comment and stance movement there was a shift. The eyes of a predator now stared down [member="Judas Wayne"] with a unflinching intensity. Both of Jahans hands raised infront of his body till they were slightly above his collar bone and appeared ready for grappling. The Cathars legs were not directly behind one another but rather his right foot that was behind him slightly etched out couple inches from leading left foot. If he stepped backwards his movement would be smooth and unheeded of the mistake of tripping over himself accidentally.

Motioning his opponent to come with the subtle display of his fingers, Jahan gradually inched forward. His mind set on examining how his opponent seizes up a threat and how calm or aroused Mr. Wayne might get in combat. The best way to teach was to learn from mistakes and Jahan intended on showing this man all his flaws and misconceptions that he may have in order to further refine him into a weapon. The lessons had officially begun.

It seemed their lessons would be built around the trial-and-error model. Fair enough. It was as good a teaching method as any. Jahan would just have to prepare himself for a small amount of trial and a considerably greater deal of error.
While he studied business on Lorrd, Judas made a habit of watching the local underground bare knuckle boxing matches that were typically held in some of the poorer areas of the city. Some of his friends had really gotten him interested in the sport, and it was quite a fun time betting on which fighter would hit the concrete first. He had picked up a few things while watching them over the years, maybe something he could employ here.
He entered a more defensive stance, trying to ready himself in the event that Jahan might launch himself across the floor at Wayne. He saw that the bounty hunter held his hands open rather than closing his fists, telling him that his mentor likely favored grappling to striking. The Cathar held a strong stance; there was very little chance that Judas would be able to get him onto the floor.
Wayne bent his legs slightly, keeps his fists loosely closed to keep Jahan guessing. As he inched forward, the Epicanthix would quickly send out a right jab directed towards the bounty hunter's sternum. However, he would pull back at the last second in hopes of drawing out Jahan's guard. He would follow with a heavy left hook directed at the Cathar's temple in an attempt to floor his opponent quickly. It was a bit of an unorthodox move, maybe even one his mentor wouldn't be expecting.

The Cathars unwavering gaze stood the test of time. Unflinching in its wake. First a single strike aimed at the sternum. A potentially disabling strike if it made contact, the sternum was a fragile place after all. Stepping forward to interrupt the blow. Interestingly enough the strike never made contact, It was a waste of energy in Jahans mind but might of worked against an untrained opponent. Mind games is what he called it. Stepping in more the Cathar growled tucking his into [member="Judas Wayne"] left most body. The feeling of the mans left forearm and bicep could be felt against the back most side of Jahans massive mane of hair. Gripping the Epicanthix with a tight hug Jahan remained stilt and calm waiting. Pushing the man away left himself open it would be a poor decision on his part to do.

It was Mr. Waynes move now.

Due to either a lack of self-confidence when it came to combat or just good intuition, Judas kind of figured that his strike would miss its intended target. The blow brushed right past the Cathar's neck and went behind him, leaving the Wayne Tech CEO open to Jahan's attack. Wayne's momentum carried him right into the bear hug and left him no room to avoid it.
He felt the bounty hunter's hold tighten around him and knew he had to react fast. Judas had several degrees from universities all across the Galaxy, one of which was in the field of biology. He knew that most creatures possessed a jugular vein in their neck or something to that effect. He had never studied Cathar anatomy, but he figured it would be a safe bet that Jahan had something similar. As the bounty hunter drew him in Judas would raise his arms and execute a strong chop to the side of his teacher's neck. With any luck, he would drop the Cathar right then and there.
