Sigyn Vanir
Valkyrian Knight
The planet called Durace was not someplace people frequented. Ravaged by thunderstorms, harsh winds, occasional toxis rain, and the ground was barren and rocky. A catastrophy of unknown origin had destroyed the world a long time ago, leaving the husk that now floated in space. It was mostly hardy predators, and some smaller creatures, that lived on the planet. But there was one thing that could make a trip there worthwhile: the rare Alparas flowers, which had a rare sort of healing capabilities.
Sigyn Vanir, Valkyrian Jedi padawan, who had travelled around the galaxy, seeking force cults and groups to learn from, and see what assortment of planets the galaxy had to offer, now found herself on Durace. And currently, she was trapped. The ship she had used to travel with had been struck by a lightning-storm on the way down, and crash landed. Luckily, Sigyn had managed to "land" it as safely as she could, and prevented any major damage to herself. After she had taken a look on the ship, she had deemed it unrepairable, at least with her knowledge of ship repairing. But it didn't do her any good just standing by the broken ship, trying to figure out what to do with it, so she started walking in the direction she thought her goal was in.
The reason she had sought this place out was mainly the Alparas flowers. She didn't urgently need them, but from what she had heard about their healing capabilities, she knew they would be of help to someone. But they weren't the only reason she was there. Even though she knew there weren't any big settlements, or even force groups, she had wanted to see what a barren and broken world looked like, and what it felt like.
"Well, so far, it feels like chit," she said to herself, as she walked along a rock-wall. "And it looks even worse." Coming from a lush, though snow-covered planet like Midvinter, this was probably the worst place she had been. The constant booming and crashing of lightning scared her, and forced her to stay close to bigger rock structures, but at least it wasn't raining. Before coming here, she had read about the toxic rain that could come, and what it could do if one didn't find cover quick enough. "No wonder no one has settled this place yet."
After havign walked for several hours, the young Jedi had to take a rest. Normally, she could have kept going for at least twice as long, but with her having to be constantly alert for lightning strikes, predators, and where she stepped on the ragged ground, she just had to take a break. There was a cave nearby, which she took shelter in. It was dark, and cold, but better than staying outside. Sitting down, she searched her bag for what food she had brought. Simple provisions, and an energy bar, enough to last her a few days at most. Not a good situation to be in. And she didn't even know if there were anyone else on the planet. She looked outside, at the purple lightning raging on. For some reason, she felt something out there, somwhere on the planet. Her force sense was not the most attuned, but she was certain she could feel something.
