Counting Coin and Selling Guns

Mr. Ash smiled as he walked towards the palace. A small, simple corvette, nothing fancy, running in escort position alongside Danger, who was more than happy to help him make a small mint. The Counts of Serenno were debating secession and munitions, and the head of this new separatist movement was one Count Aretine. Here, today, the Count was interested in a display of Danger's weapons, and Ash was more than happy to help broker the transaction.

He nodded to Arceneau and signalled to the guards at the door. "Greetings, good sirs. We've been invited to discuss business with Lord Aretine and his compatriots, on behalf of the Black Suns. I am Mr. Ash, and this," he said with a bow, "Is Danger Arceneau. Could you please guide us to the attending chambers, that we may wait for our scheduled audience with his lordship?"

He smiled as cheerily as he could muster, given his rather unique facial structure. But his tone was polite and civil, and that meant a lot to the fanciful whims of the counts here.

The guards at the door gave way, separating their vibrospears from the door.

"You are expected. Please enter, and head straight through the hall. The Count's throne is directly ahead."

When @Danger Arcenau and @Mr. Ash entered, they would find the marble pillars and ornate red carpets of Aretine's palace to be everything that was expected from Serenno royalty. On the sides of the vast hall, massive windows let in the afternoon sun. At the end of the row of pillars there was a staircase leading to an elevated platform, where Aretine's throne was. It sat underneath the black-and-red coat of arms of House Aretine, still displayed proudly from the ceiling. It seemed that the Mandalorians ruled this planet in name only; nowhere was there any sign or symbol of Mandalorian suzerainty. And Aretine would like to keep it that way.

The olive-skinned Count was sitting there waiting for them as they approached. When he saw them, he stood. He would put aside Ash's ghastly appearance - for he had never seen a species like that before - due to the fact that these two could prove especially useful to his cause.

"Count Vanco Aretine of the Great House Aretine will recognize you," The porter on the side called as the two approached.

"Greetings," The Count said for himself. "You must be the Black Sun representatives. Can I offer you a refreshment?"
