Private Council of Kaleesh

The room began to fill. Chiefs and guards. Outside the numbers had grown in number considerably. Many were ready to go to fighting if it began. But they remained at peace, for the time being. Maek's chief was here as well. He had spent pretty much his entire life on his homeworld. And nearly all of it was spent with battle in mind. He was a kaleesh through and through. War was the way of things for him. And he felt he hadn't achieved enough.

The council wasn't called by just another chief however, important though each of them was. Rather it was called by Ra's Ra's . A sith. But still a Kaleesh. Every person here was dangerous. Each had seen battle and probably would see it again. Armed, cautious, and ready. But they were here for a purpose. They were among the strongest and had been called by someone who was known for their strength, and thus, deserved their respect. Maek sought after that strength. Yes, he was strong. But that was not enough. He wanted to become a god. He wanted to be worthy of something and he intended to make that happen himself. But that would take time. And a great deal of effort. The people here had spent much more time in their lives in war than he had. As had Ra's who had called this council.

"My brothers in arm, my people I called this planetary council for a reason."

Start with a calm voice the warrior as he approach the center of the council, a look of cold blood in his eyes. He cross his hands behind his back as he look for each great warrior , warlord and priest or shaman present.

"You all know who I was during the last war against our sworn enemy, and you all know who I am now. " The room remained silence but some looks of distrust were aiming at the Sith, did he betrayed his people to become a puppet of the Sith Empire ? Some Kaleesh wondered about this. " Let me tell all of you this, I did not turned back on our people, I am still a Kaleesh from the Tubaroc village ! Yet, I am aware that we can't no longer stay in our own way in this conflit, we need to pick a side. If we wish to destroy once and for all the Yam'rii we need the support of the Sith Empire ! " Some angry voice raised in the place coupled with whispering some among the most hardened warriors even drew their weapons.

One Kaleesh Chief: " How can you say this Ra's ? We are not puppets, the Sith might be so far decent with us but we are not going to serve them ! Do you trust their words like this ? If they can offer us a way to destroy Huk then bring it on ! But for now you are just saying empty words."

(RA'S) " I am not a fool Serogh, you are one of our greatest warrior but you lack thinking. Do you seriously think I would have dared to bring such thing without being sure of it ? I have the Emperor own word, he will not only give use war weapons and vehicles massively, but he is willing to adapt special armors and weapons for our warriors, and even more, we could train a special force on The Sith Way, force sensitive or not we could make a whole force of Lightsaber users which I would lead myself along with the rest of the army ."

Another Chief: " We have no Kings here, only in war a overall chief might rise, you are not our Leader Ra's, you are maybe one of the greatest warrior our kind have ever seen but you can't just take charge !" He is interupted by another Kaleesh the great warrior Yrraasyrgh San Kullar. "Maybe he should be in charge. We didn't have a commander as promising since you know who times. If we could unite once and for all under a single banner and a single warrior we could for sure crush Huk with the Empire support ! We could even surpass their own best forces as warriors with the new gear and training they shall bring to us !"

Maek watched as the room erupted into argument and uncertainty. Some in agreement with Ra's Ra's proposition, others against it. Words, politics, negotiations. Such irritating things. However, someone would be mistaken if they believed Maek thought any of this trivial. It was important. Actions may speak louder than words, but sometimes there was need for proper communication to truly make those actions come to fruition.

Right now they stood on the edge of a new beginning, if only they could be made to understand. Maek waited patiently. His tribe knew him as a great warrior, and as an apprentice to Ra's, he was known to be force sensitive. He was also extremely devoted to warfare as he believed any good Kaleesh should be.

The arguments moved on. Ra's tried to explain what the Sith had to offer. But that was not yet enough to sway them. Not all of them. San Kullar seemed to be for it. Maek spoke loudly, "I am Maek Rezom!" he introduced himself simply, and aggressively. He did not show any signs of feeling inferiority to the others present. No sign that he was even hesitant to confront them when eyes turned to him, he met them unwaveringly, "I have seen what they have to offer. You all wish to prove yourselves as warriors. But what good is a warrior who dies before he can even reach the battlefield." he challenged.

"We have been left behind technologically. We excel only in spirit and devotion to the rest of the galaxy. Even our skill can be rivaled. But with the Sith, there are much greater things to be gained. Right now the galaxy see's us as nothing more than brutish warriors. Skilled, but unprepared. What if we had their ships, had their weapons and vehicles. Put fear into the hearts of the enemies. The Kaleesh could become something unlike any other. And even if the sith thought they had us, the truth would be that they would fear betraying us. As if they did, we would use their own technology to slaughter them."

He leaned his head back, "That is all I have to say."

He remained still, if any looked to it, he would lock his eyes with theirs. His arms crossed over his chest with a wide stance of his feet. As if still ready to move at a moments notice. His breathing deep and patient, as if he was waiting for something. He had always seemed like a predator to his tribe. In every movement it showed. Smooth and patient, but eager to attack should such an opportunity arise.
