Public COTM - May 2025 Edition - Nominations!

Hey folks!

It is the end of the month and I completely let the days fly by without getting the COTM nominations going up, so getting it done now so that we can get a winner early June! Time is flying by and I can't believe how far into 2025 we are already.

Anyways, old person rant over, here are the rules:

Rules are as following:

• Nominate a character that is not of your writing that has impressed you in the last month.
• Give the reasons why.
  • Please include thread links for others to see why you love the character so much.
• You may nominate someone that has already been nominated, they will be listed once in the voting stage and the reasons combined into one.
• This is for In Character stuff.
• During the nomination step, you must ask the winner a question for your nomination to count. Yes, that means in this thread, along with the nomination also put a question for the eventual winner, ya scamp.
• During the voting, please limit yourselves to one vote.
• Character must have been active in the last month to qualify, would be great if you would keep it to the last months exploits too.
• Characters can only win once.
• Please do not nominate Staff.
• One week to nominate. Approximately.

* Character may not reign as Character of the Month for an exact month. You will live.

I want to give a big thanks to Kaila Irons for covering me during my LOA as well, also thank you to everyone else who reached out to help ensure that this keeps going as well! I'm really glad that people really like this and I will make sure to keep this continuing as much as you guys want to participate and engage with it!

As always, looking forward to seeing what people have been getting up to and who is going to be celebrated this month!

I am going to nominate Kaila Irons , she has always been a wonderful presence in the SO threads, a well articulated character, with clear and passionate driving motivations that make her very compelling. I am always curious to hear what she has been up to, and what she is accomplishing.

I am once again nominating Tasia Palpatine for Character of the Month, for very much the same reasons as before. Tay's an excellent writer, is very active, and above all else, a fantastic person to know on the board. She's helpful, creative, and excited to be here, and those things are what makes for superb storytelling.

My question for you: If Tasia could find herself in possession of any Jedi, Sith, or otherwise Force-attuned artifact from Canon/Legends lore, what would it be?

I would like to nominate Ala Quin . At the end of last month they started The Five Veils Conspiracy which has been written throughout the month of May and as the driving force behind the story, as one of it's focal characters, I have the opinion that they are deserving of COTM for this month.

I second this nomination! Kaila Irons Is such a great writer and the character is so fun to follow!
