EDIT: Actually. Upon further review. Rian Johnson, the Director of The Last Jedi, has repeated said on Twitter that Rey's parents are nobodies. Rey is not a Solo nor has she taken a last name. Lulz. But, given the loss of real history that has happened during our Chaos Timeline? I can see how people, even Jedi, might have false information about... Well... Anything really.
