Coruscant and Its Flaws

[member="Kitty"]

Coruscant didn't seem as lively as Torin was used to. The people were either corrupt or was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Maybe that's exaggerating a bit, but either way Torin didn't specialize in sparing lives. A job was a job.

Torin didn't like killing for no reason but he honestly needed the credits. Durasteel can't hold up as good as other metals so he wanted, no, needed the credits. On this particular day, the man in his mid 20's was fighting a master of the force. He could tell he was weak at physical combat due to his lack of weapons so he took advantage of it.

The opponent was strong in the force, and probably had a lot more advantages in the battle than him but to Torin, his saber was enough to eliminate him. Torin didn't attack the man when he saw him immediately. He waited... for the right moment. That was when the man walked into a tunnel going under the city. Torin leapt down onto the platform where the other man stood. Torin was about to grab his saber when the man sent a power force push back.

Torin flew around 30 feet back. He didn't get injured since he had armor but the force push did mess with him. Torin ignited his orange bladed saber and started running at him.

Kitty

The Attention Seeker
Kitty laid upon a rooftop of one of the more unsavory places of Coruscant. The smell bugged her nose greatly but that's actually what she was here for. Her parents told her a hint of how to control her shifting. Comfort and safety they said were the not so secret secret. How she was suppose to connect that with controlling herself Kitty still didn't know. Her aggravation from the smell building Kitty tried to think of comfort and safety but she found herself wondering what made her feel comfortable and safe. The feline was stumped and getting nowhere.

She was momentarily distracted when she heard a body hit the ground hard and heard the sound of a lightsaber igniting. Crawling over to the edge Kitty peered below to some saber wielding person chasing after a force user. Neither of them were sith or jedi. Kitty watched interested as to why two force users would be foolish enough to rough around on a planet which had a very heavy sith presence probably the heaviest of any other planet out there.

Torin felt another presence. The police? No, but he couldn't stop to charge to find out. The opponent was concealed to the point where he couldn't see his eyes. That's something Torin always enjoyed looking at before the fall of his targets.

The force master didn't look scared and didn't move in response to Torin running at him. Torin figured this would be an easy kill but his opponent seemed to have strategy. Torin leaped up once three meters in front of the concealed man. His alignment wasn't describable. It seemed like he was possibly a rogue like him. Torin was ready to strike but kept his saber to his side in case of anything counter attacks.

As expected, Torin was hit by a counter attack. A force grip. Torin didn't yell or wiggle however. A grip was a simple force power, but at the hands of a master of the force, its different. Torin probably didn't realize that but still kept calm. Torin began reaching at his neck with his left hand. "You think.. you've won." he said swinging his saber back. At that moment, he threw his saber at the force master.

The force master released him and jumped back but the saber bounced up lined up aimed at him. Torin and the force master began force pushing it. Torin was struggling while the force master wasn't so he took a different approach. With one hand still force pushing the saber, Torin started charging at the saber. Once he was close enough, he grabbed the hilt and kept pushing against the opponent with the force. Again, he was struggling but the goal wasn't pushing his opponent, it was getting close.

After a few seconds of moving forward, Torin could stop force pushing. The force master stopped and seemed to be trying to flee. After his opponent ran away with speed, he force pulled him back. Igniting the saber and pulling the force master back once more, Torin smiled and impaled him in the back. His last words were barely heard but Torin knelt down. He didn't kneel down to listen though or see his face. It was the credits. "Hmm, again." he mumbled seeing only a few credits.

Torin knew there was another presence nearby so he didn't close his saber. Not yet. He turned around and walked a few steps away from the corpse. Torin looked around and left a non-worried expression on his face. He was calm usually anyways. "I suppose you would like to come out?" he asked calmly.

Kitty

Kitty watched the spectacle below. The two force users who's force signatures weren't masked at all, of course most didn't know how. Eventually one of them won and started searching through the pockets for credits. Kitty thought that was most unusual and only made her all the more curios. The man seemed to realize she was watching and beckoned her to come out. Obliging Kitty jumped off the roof top and landed with feline grace. She was wearing her usual dark purple tank top and blue shorts. Her two black lightsabers sat at either side of her hips contrasting with the rest of her outfit. She really should have thought about how they would matched her outfit when she built them.

Walking up to the man Kitty really took in his appearance. He was older than her. "Was your quarrel with that man really so bad that you had to kill him here? You'll be lucky if only a few acolytes lock onto your signature hoping to kill you and impress their masters or just for the fun of it. I'll get the pleasure of watching them fight over you." Kitty said lying. She didn't actually take any pleasure from it but she had to keep up her sith persona. [member="Torin Malric"]

The one who was felt by him through the force wasn't someone he saw everyday. He defiantly expected someone human, or at least with human features. Torin noticed her weapons after he analyzed her appearance. They were sabers, but seemed a bit odd with the outfit she wore. He sighed and moved on with the conversation.

"It was no argument. I wanted and received." he stated bluntly. "I'll take the pleasure of giving them a fight. I'm not that powerful but I promise I wont go down easy." he said although he needed to lay low. Torin kept his saber ignited and to his side. He rested his weight on his right leg while talking. "Anyways, what are you doing here?" he asked hoping it wasn't to kill him. She probably could take him easily due to her wielding two sabers.

Kitty

Kitty tilted her head to the side in confused curiosity. Raising an eyebrow probably would have expressed herself better but she didn't have any. "You killed him for the money, a strong force user? There are many more wealthy targets out there that'll put up much less of a fight. Not to mention stuff like this paints a target on your back." Kitty said. He was fairly strong and Kitty had some feline quirks that made her pretty vulnerable at times. She already had a body guard but Bar'reth was still just getting use to his new life and hasn't even started training as a sith. Besides she considered him more of a close friend than a body guard.

The foolish stranger than asked what Kitty was doing here. "Was just pondering how much I despise the rancid smell of this area when I noticed your little struggle. What about you, why are you so desperate for credits?" the young feline asked. [member="Torin Malric"]

Torin nodded to her first few words. Killing wasn't as fun as it used to be for him, it seemed he was doing it for no reason now. Although it was for credits, that was not a good reason and he probably was using the training he was given in the wrong way. He turned off his saber and clipped it to his belt before balancing his weight on both feet and standing tall.

After she asked him another question, Torin sighed. He didn't like interviews or maybe he thought of it that way even though she was just curious. "It does smell pretty abnormal in these parts." he admitted although he didn't mind it much. Torin glanced at his armor, it was scratched in several places. He then looked back at the cat lady. "I really like armor. And since I'm not that into stealing metals from companies a organizations, I figured buying phrik would be easier."

Kitty

The Attention Seeker
"Just be glad you don't have my nose." Kitty wasn't very happy with his answer. He wasn't even stealing to survive heck he wasn't just stealing he was murdering. Stealing is one thing but no he has to go and murder his victims to and for what, for armor. Then again she supposed it made him predictable. He'd be loyal to whoever had the most credits. Kitty also hadn't intended this to be an interview. At first it was just curiosity, but now she was interested. "You are going to get in trouble eventually or in these parts killed." As if on signal and acolyte appeared with her lightsaber drawn. Kitty shot the acolyte a cold glare. The young feline wasn't very well known in the sith but it was known that she was a sith assassin and it was also known that you don't mess with an assassin's prey. The acolyte turned her blade off and walked away.

Turning back to her prey Kitty continued where she left off. "Wouldn't mercenary work be a safer way to earn some credits. It could potentially earn you much more than you can get stealing from whoever you pass." [member="Torin Malric"]

Torin felt another presence of someone nearby, as well as the noise of the saber closing. "I get in trouble everywhere I go. I'm sure I'll loose an arm someday, or even two. My life possibly too." Torin probably should stop killing for credits but he was specific on his victims. Killing a Jedi or a Sith for credits would be wrong. That's why is picked fallen Jedi or Sith but mostly neutrals.

"Maybe, but I might really be targeted then. But I'm sure the money would be well worth it." Mercenary work could work out but he liked what he was doing.

Kitty

"You shouldn't think like that. You should value your arm and your life. But if you prefer I could give you someone else's life to value if only for the credits it brings. I'm an assassin and anyone who thinks of painting a target on your back will find themselves dead soon after." Kitty said wondering how long it would take the man to realize she was offering him a job. [member="Torin Malric"]

Torin thought about what she said for a few moments. "Hmm. Okay." He suspected she was requesting his help, maybe a task or even a job. "I'll do it. Please elaborate though. I'm very picky on who I help." he said not agreeing fully.

Kitty

"I just need a personal body guard strong enough to keep any enemies at bay when I'm vulnerable. Normally my senses are too sharp for anyone to sneak up on me unnoticed but it has been done before by my master. So I figured you can never be too paranoid and you could use the credits."
