Cortosis for Q

((Please note this is a dev thread, due to my timeline this happened 19 standard years ago. If you would like to RP in here please PM me and create a character specifically for this thread as it happened some time ago))

The doctors schemed together and determined that their patient Qaeth wouldn't miss a few extra thousand credits, so they decided to steal the Cortosis he so desperately needed for his new body. They found it better to steal and be rich, than to help and honest man. Their plot would never be known to Qaeth. They hired a team of mercenaries to infiltrate a poorer Cortosis warehouse on Duro and steal the valuable material. The plot was in motion, now the play needed to happen.

The team of mercenaries was comprised of three people. The first of this team was a poor Devorian forced into the business in order to buy life saving drugs for his sick daughter, his name was Jaxu. The second was a night-sister, adept in the arts of black magic. She was always on the hunt for something new and exciting, this thirst for adventure led her here. Her name was Valche. The last member was a Gand findsman, one of the few that left his planet. His name was Yeecho. Together, these three would steal a large slab of cortosis in order to build a new body for Qaeth.

The three mercenaries faced no resistance as they entered the compound. They kept to the shadows and avoided the guards, having to shoot or incapicitate no one. The rounded a corner to find a central garbage chute. Jaxu cut into the chute, not waiting for the next load to come down. ''Hurry up!'' Valche would whisper, fearing the presence of a guard. Jaxu eventually cut the chute open. Little did he know that the chute had been broken for some time. Weeks old garbage poured out of it. This might have been a stroke of good luck, if the guards knew the chute was broken, they wouldn't throw anything down while the mercenaries were climbing up.

Monotonous climbing, one foot, one hand, one foot, one hand. The chute seemed like it spanned the height of Coroscant's tallest building. The mercenaries eventually made their way to the top and exited. They found themselves in a small kitchen occupied by a few cooking droids. Having no combat or facial recognition protocol, the droid ignored them. ''Close call'' Valche said, pushing the door to the hallway open. She stepped outside to see a hallway decorated with cortosis writings and pictures. ''Nice taste''

Room 1175 was where the group was headed. The slab needed for Qaeth's new body was in one of the larger storage room. Along the way they met a guard. Quickly, Valche raised her hand and cast a night-sister spell, shooting green lightning from her hand. The noise was quite loud, it might have alerted other guards. Never-the-less, the group went on to the room. 2 guards were stationed outside, using his stun stick Yeecho incapicitated both guards, dropping them to the ground.

Jaxu placed multiple demolition charges on the door. None of them even a novice at hacking, they had to blow the door down. Placing them strategically, Jaxu, Yeecho and Valache stepped around the corner and detonated the charges. The explosion was huge, throwing debris all throughout the hall, damaged the writings on the wall. They looked inside to find two more guards, dead. The blast had killed them both. They stepped inside, looking around for more opposition.

Yeecho went over to the giant slab of Corotsis and examined it. It was in tact and just as described by their informant. Suddenly, a loud alarm went off. ''INTRUDERS IN ROOM 1175, ALL GUARDS TO ROOM 1175.'' was broadcasted all over the warehouse. ''Let's get this out of here!'' Valche yelled to her two partners in crime. She summoned a large blast of lightning and shot a whole right through the roof of the warehouse. ''Next time, we should do that instead of the stealth approach'' she yelled pulling a hover cart over to the slab of Cortosis.

Summoning what strength they had left, the three amigos shoved the slab onto the hovercart. They had to move quick, the guard would be here any second. A net descended from the roof into the giant room, spreading across the floor. Yeecho pushed the cart onto it. Suddenly, Yechoo dropped to the ground. He had been shot by the incoming guards. Yeecho gripped his chest and braced his fall to the ground. He slowly faded away from existence. Jaxu went for his blaster but was shot as well. He died knowing he could not save his daughter, and that she would die soon as well. The net began to pull up to the awaiting ship.

Valche leaped for the net, but it was of no use. The net was too far up, she turned around to face what seemed like legions of guards. She wasn't going to prison, she had already decided that. In a final act of defiance she summoned a maelstrom of force lightning killing many of the guards. In the midst of doing this, she was shot by several of the guards who had been fortunate to be far enough away from the blast. All three mercenaries were dead. The guards swept the room for any more hostiles, there were none. They holstered their weapons in defeat.

''Sir, the cargo is secure'' a woman said to a man behind a large desk. ''Good'' he would respond, a smile spread across his face ''And the mercenaries?'' he asked. ''Left behind as you requested.'' ''Even better, the best kind of work, is free work.'' he picked up a death stick and offered it to his secretary. ''To the future or BazTech!'' he would toast. He sucked on it for a moment contemplating his work. Any day was a good day to be the CEO of BazTech, this one however was particularly good.
