SPECIAL FEATURES

 • Creates a wider blade for lightsabers allowing for an easier go at deflecting blaster bolts.

 • Draws heat away from critical components of weaponry.

 • Creates a ‘high-definition’ sound/audio when used in recording devices.

 • Absorbs/captures sound to a degree but does not 100% block or absorb sonic or sound waves.

 • May amplify turbolaser/blaster-type beams by two.

 • Creates wider bolts for blaster rifles/pistols.

 • Ammo counter is typically broken in blaster-type weapons when this stone is installed.

 • Amplifies the feeling of luck, not increases it - it only makes you feel a little luckier than you might normally feel.
Strengths:

 • Absorbs some sound.

 • Creates a wider blade/bolt effect.

 • May amplify turbolaser/blaster-type weaponry.
Weaknesses:

 • Can be crushed by heavier objects.

 • Can be obliterated by plasma, ion and slug weapons.

 • Can be cracked by sound/sonic-based weaponry.

 • In water, it sinks and loses the ability to absorb sound.
Caution: While one may feel as if Lady Luck is on their side and take actions that might seem bolder than usual. This does nothing to change actual luck and thus, one may end up in more tense situations than they may like.

DESCRIPTION
Somewhere between the Black Gold Beaches and the Floating Mountains of Sahsahlah, bore the Corellian Bloodstone, or Luck as some might call it. Corellians are known for their piloting talents, engineering skills, and innovation. The discovery of Bloodsteel was one thing, but the Bloodstone was something else entirely. As part of Padawan Kryze’s journey to Knighthood, the notation of the Bloodstone was something of a pitstop.

The Princess Leia stopped off on Corellia for repairs while members of the local Jedi enclave began to study the Bloodstone. Others referred to it as the Lucky stone, and Mishel simply referred to it as the Bloodluck. A sample of the Bloodluck stones was collected and studied by Mishel and later the enclave. When applied to medicine, it drew heat away from the body and relaxed muscles. When used in holistic medicine it could also be used to detoxify the body, purifying it. It could also be used to help push out negative energies or possibly feelings. Applied to a lightsaber hilt it did little more than traditional lightsaber crystals in the primary slot. As a secondary crystal, the Bloodluck drew heat away from critical components and focused the beam. Providing a wider blade making it a little easier to deflect blaster bolts. The beam was slightly stronger as well, and at times the user felt as if they could be a little more aggressive.

As far as alignment went, the Bloodluck seemed neutral in that regard but there was no real way of testing this. The Bloodluck did, however, add some color to the lightsaber, either a touch of red or green. This appeared to be at random and did not rely on any particular variable or the other. When applied in blasters, the stone seemed to amplify this feeling of Luck some might say and again focused the beams. This time creating a wider effect as the bolt left the blaster rifle in this case. Blaster pistols also experienced similar effects in weapons larger than a rifle this feeling of luck was gone. Instead, the stone seemed to only amplify the beam’s strength by two.

But more importantly if not most importantly the Bloodluck had one particular attribute. It was the defense against sonic weaponry. It is often the downfall of many Jedi and yet, Bloodluck took it in stride. Obviously much like anything it did break to sonic weaponry but not before the Jedi who added the stone into their lightsaber was able to find refuge. This was repeated for blasters and even in communication devices. Where it was found that with the stone implemented it could create an almost high definition of sound. Some would attribute this to the events that broke Corellia in the first place, and others perhaps in bringing it together.

An in-depth look into the stone revealed a type of rock wool or fiberglass, layered in such a way that it seemed to resemble an anechoic chamber. The group traveled back to where the stones were harvested and collected more samples. Each one provided a similar story, while each stone was not an exact replica of an anechoic chamber. Each stone did, however, look quite similar to one perhaps enabling the stone to absorb sound or sonic waves as it does.

It is not complete absorption but again just enough to temporarily buy that Jedi time. In combat, the lightsaber’s widen blade takes on these sonic waves and absorbs them. It is not recommended to stand there and attempt to ‘catch the waves,’ as the sonic weaponry can be aimed around the weapon.

Padawan Kryze took only one stone and sent it to her Master Coren Starchaser. To the Corellians and their Confederation, and more importantly to their enclave a boon had been discovered. The Bloodluck, Bloodstone however it is called colloquially would be there for them just as they had been for Corellia.

Addendum: It has now been referred to as the Dirty Han, referring to the mythological/legendary/antiquated hero of old, Han Solo.
