  • Can absorb and conduct blaster/lightning energy and deactivate most lightsabers on contact.

  • Quite short.
  • No crossguard.
  • Not balanced for throwing.
  • The grip is only wood and bronzium, and can be damaged by any normal weapon.
  • Energy absorption ability can be burned out (e.g. by sustained Sith lightning or Ganathan lightning gun). Burnout only repairable with several hours' meditation by a good alchemist.

DESCRIPTION
Moran made these knives for a disreputable Corellian (is there any other kind?), but kept a few for himself and select customers. It's just a really nice knife: a stout broken-back clip-point sax with the tiniest hint of arc on the clip. The tip won't bend or snap when opening a can, but is sharp enough to punch through most things with enough oomph behind it. Be careful stabbing, as there's no crossguard; you'd risk cutting yourself. And don't let the cortosis tempt you into duelling: with no crossguard and such a short blade, you won't last long against a lightsaber unless you're good and careful.

Moran cooked a weak power gem chip into the bronzium pommel. Though it won't do anything miraculous, it lets your pommel strikes beat down personal or local shields, within reason, at which point the blade's cortosis can do interesting things. A useful toy to have on hand if you really, really need to shank a droideka.
