DESCRIPTION
Reformed in 900 ABY, Corellia StarDrive has once again risen to prominence as one of the galaxy's premier starship manufacturers. True to its heritage, the company remains headquartered on Corellia, drawing on the world's shipbuilding traditions and storied legacy of engineering excellence. Unlike many galactic corporations that drift into anonymity under monolithic conglomerates, Corellia StarDrive has reasserted its independence, branding itself as the shipwrights for free worlds and private innovators alike. The company accepts both government and private manufacturing contracts, ranging from full-scale military production for planetary defense fleets to bespoke custom vessels for wealthy clients, smugglers, and explorers. Corellia StarDrive prides itself on balancing artistry with utility—ships are designed to be practical, fast, and reliable, yet always distinctly Corellian in silhouette and performance.

While the corporation maintains cordial relations with galactic governments, it deliberately avoids binding itself to a single faction, preferring neutrality in the tumultuous political climate of the 900s ABY. Its business model thrives on flexibility: production lines are modular, allowing them to rapidly shift from bulk freighters to patrol craft depending on demand, while smaller yards handle custom retrofits and unique builds. Corellia StarDrive cultivates an image of benevolence and innovation, investing in its workforce and Corellia's economy, but it is not without ruthlessness. Whole moons and resource-rich asteroids across the Corellian Sector have been strip-mined to feed its revived foundries, a cost the company justifies as "a necessary sacrifice for galactic progress." In practice, Corellia StarDrive embodies the duality of Corellia itself—proud, independent, and ingenious, but always willing to gamble bold risks for profit and prestige.

RATIONALE
Evran and Darin Myles did not inherit Corellia StarDrive, because the company hadn't existed in over a thousand years. Instead, they seized upon the forgotten name — a once-proud shipwright swallowed by Corellia Engineering Corporation in 3000 BBY — and revived it as their own banner in 900 ABY. The brothers registered the brand through clever legal maneuvering, exploiting overlooked trade archives and a loophole in Corellian corporate law that allowed them to claim the rights to lapsed entities. Their intent was not nostalgia alone, but a deliberate challenge: to present themselves as the reborn alternative to CEC, a company so dominant it had gone unopposed for millennia. By rallying investors, shipwright guilds, and ambitious Corellian engineers under the storied name, they positioned themselves as heirs to a lost legacy — and competitors to one of the greatest starship manufacturers in the galaxy.
