While the blaster pistol is generally intended to be used to fire one round each time the trigger is pulled, there is a setting on the blaster to toggle a three round burst which will fire three shots in short sequence upon pulling the trigger. These bursts only fire three shots each time the trigger is pulled, holding the trigger down does not result in more shots being fired. There is a noticeable increase in recoil, with accuracy loss, during the burst firing mode.
