A single TIE Destroyer emerged from hyperspace arriving in orbit of Cholganna where it was greeted by a large fleet of Imperial Warships. Soon the TIE received a single communication from the flagship of the Imperial Fleet which gave him a simple instruction. "Transmit clearance code." the voice from the other side of the comms ordered. Inside the TIE, the pilot would simply press a few buttons before offering an equally simple response. "Transmitting now." the pilot stated. After a few seconds the voice from the other side offered a response to the pilot. "Code approved. Welcome to Cholganna, Baron Vonreg." the voice stated. "Acknowledged. Inform the Supreme Commander that i've arrived" Vonreg responded before terminating the channel and piloting his TIE towards his final destination : The Imperial Center for Military Operations.

After landing his TIE Destroyer in one of the large hangars within the Imperial Center for Military Operations, the Crimson Baron would make his way towards a nearby briefing room, where the Supreme Commander of the Imperial Armed Forces Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen patiently waited for him along with another TIE Pilot in front of a large holographic table, whom the Crimson Baron recognized almost immediately as an old comrade from the days of the Core Wars - Lieutenant Van Trask, formerly of the Dark Imperial Starfighter Corps. After giving Trask a simple nod of acknowledgement, the Crimson Baron proceeded to walk beside the Supreme Commander waiting for him to begin the briefing.

"I will be keeping this very brief, so that you two can get acquainted with each other as quickly as possible." the Supreme Commander began as he activated the holographic table. "Our intel has recently caught wind of a Sith supply convoy headed to Korriban to provide supplies for it's Fleet." Sularen began. "Your mission is to intercept the convoy and destroy it before it can reach Korriban." he continued. "If the supply convoy is destroyed, it will deprive Korriban's Fleet of vital supplies needed to maintain maximum combat efficiency in future engagements and it will send a message to the Sith Order that our defeat at Brosi was nothing more but a mere setback for our Confederation." he added.

"Understood sir, we will not disappoint you." Baron Vonreg stated. "Dismissed." Sularen stated before exiting the briefing room and leaving Baron Vonreg and Lieutenant Trask alone together. Once the Supreme Commander had left, Vonreg turned to face his old comrade. "Lieutenant Trask, it's nice to see you back in our ranks after all this time." he began.

Cigarra smoke wafted into the air as Trask leaned against the holotable, the only sound that filled the room was its hum as it displayed the hyperlanes through Sith territory. Despite his seemingly relaxed attitude there was an uneasy air that emanated from the pilot. The Lieutenant had done his best to steer clear of high command, in Trask's experience missions that came from the top brass had a nasty habit of turning pilots into martyrs. Nonetheless he wasn't stupid enough to disobey a direct order.

The silence was broken by the sound of the opening blast doors and the footsteps of another pilot. Trask instantly recognised the crimson armour, there wasn't a man or women in the starfighter corps who didn't recognize the Baron. He returned the nod with a raise of his eyebrows before his attention turned back to the Supreme Commander's briefing.

He took another drag as Sularen spoke, remaining silent the whole time. As Vonreg assured their success Trask waited until after Sularen had left before he replied to the Baron.

"Wasn't sure I'd ever find myself back here." he said as his eyes looked around the dim briefing room. "Hyperlanes been easy pickings, lot of credits to be made." he said with a grin, Trask made no attempt to hide his piratical past.

"Course everything's changing; Brosi, Core Wars. It's a dangerous galaxy if you ain't flying under any flag." he said as he ashed his cigarra. "And like hell if I'm flying with bad karma."

He grabbed his white helmet from the holotable with his free hand and began walking towards the door. "So, how we playing this boss?"

"It's a shame many of our comrades from the Dark Empire don't see it that way. They'd rather continue serving an Emperor who would treat them as canon fodder and throw them at the jaws of theirs enemy. Such a waste of talent." Vonreg remarked, immediately thinking of the pilots of SCAR Squadron whom like him and Trask had served the Dark Imperial Starfighter Corps but had chosen to stick to the False Emperor and his twisted version of Imperialism.

"So, how we playing this boss?"

"We get to work as usual." Vonreg said as he followed Trask outside the briefing room, with both men soon making their way towards the main hangar. "The Squadron is ready and our support ships are on standby." he proclaimed. Once both men arrived at the hangar, Vonreg stopped to give one final instruction to Trask. "Just follow my lead and don't get carried away." he stated. "We want to keep them boxed in and leave them with no escape route." he added. Once he was done speaking Vonreg would leave Trask and began heading towards his TIE Destroyer ready to commence the operation.

The sound of clinking spurs echoed through the hallway as Trask walked towards the hanger. He took another drag of his cigarra as the Baron spoke about former comrades. He wondered for a moment if any of the new pilots trained to replace them would ever live up to their skills.

"Tch." he clicked his tongue, he wasn't quite sure he was satisfied with his answer.

As they entered the hanger Trask dropped the cigarra on the floor and smothered it with his boot. The berating shouts from the air boss could be heard from across the hanger bay and Trask promptly put on his helmet, silencing the outside world. It hissed as the enviro-seals closed shut and it hummed softly as it powered on.

He gave his equipment a once over as the Baron's voice filled with helmet with a short briefing, work as usual. He grinned under his helmet, there was nothing sweeter than a convoy raid; fat and slow targets.

Van began flicking on switches and the dim interior of his TIE lit up and the sound of the engines whirring reverberated through the cockpit. He keyed his commlink to the Baron. "Sounds good, on you Crimson leader."
