Constructing a lightsaber

Recently I just got ahold a nice juicy Pontite crystal and now just need to make myself a lightsaber with it. Are there any guidelines I'm unaware of regarding how this goes? Like a thread to acquire components for the lightsaber itself? I just want to be fully sure before I dive right in.

I'm thinking of just setting up a thread (public or private) showing the process in one or two posts, might have it as a solo thread.

As far as I have seen most folks only dev the actual making itself. I think you'd be ok with a simple dev thread, as long as it doesn’t have super special qualities or unorthodox design.

preferably they want ten. So if I were you, Do your two - three posts, send in the sub for the lightsaber, and if need be, they will tell you to continue on, or do another thread. Just do another dev thread about you using the actual item in a fight or whatever to get it. (make sure that the second party knows you are doing this for a dev thread.)

When you say to send in a submission for the lightsaber, where and whom do I send it to?

[member="Venris Helion"], You don't send it to anyone in particular. In fact it's open for everyone to see.

Using the Melee Technology Template (click open the spoiler, copy and paste) Fill out all of the fields in which need to be given. Make sure to provide a link for the source of your image, (if you have one) as well as the link for your development thread in the right area. Then post it in This forum. Wait until you are tagged as one of the Factory judges goes over your submission. Make any edits they generally ask for. (if there is something you know they are wrong about, point it out, and provide links with proof of your statements). They say approved or denied. and then you are good to go with your lightsaber. Fairly easy.

And a side note, Make sure to look at This for any banned, or restricted items. if it's restricted, you will need to do one of the options provided for the dev thread to obtain said material.
