Considering changing factions

The title says it all. The Expeditionary Fleet started strong but has pretty much grinder to a halt without our founded and leader present anymore, so I'm very much considering just leaving it and joining something like the Underground or the Jedi Order...supposing the latter would even think of allowing such a thing, but anything can happen.

Is there a process for quitting a faction? A button I click? Or do I just up and say 'I'm out' and go look for a different faction to join?

Technically you can press said button and let people know you're out, or at least those that you were connected with on either an IC or OOC level. You can consider it proper etiquette to finish up whatever threads you were doing and not just simply abandon them if you are to change a faction, but that's my opinion on the matter. You can also organize an IC thread with your previous faction and one with your new faction to finalize your transfer from an IC perspective, but it's not really required in a technical sense.

...you wouldn't know it, but the moment I read that, I could hear a dramatic 'dun dun DUN' in the background.

Truth be, it's tempting

But also truthfully, I'd suck at it.

I don't think any of the faction members are even still on the forum anymore...where would that button be exactly? I looked at the faction page and I couldn't see anything.

What are you looking for in a faction? PvP, War, character growth, group storylines, social interaction? All of the above? Tell me your interests and I might be able to offer some insight of where you'd like to belong :)

I know you said you've got your eyes on other factions, but you still seem like you're not very sure.

I'd say my main focus is more on character growth at present, and I definitely like interaction and group storylines too. I'm not vey interested in PVP or war however, not entirely opposed to them but I just don't enthusiastically seek them out as much.

Well. I'm going to be entirely biased here because it's my faction but I do believe your interests line up well with The Primeval. We do have occasional bouts of PvP and war with other factions but for the most part we conduct group threads and focus on individual storylines. Of course I'm not sure how much you'd feel your character fits into the grand scheme of things because we're more of a darkside faction but I'd like to imagine.

But if you are interested, you can check out our faction page by clicking on my signature :)

P.S. I'm a bit excited to see your character uses a ship I've made <3 (on my alt)

Hm...what could you tell me about the Primeval? Ive heard of it but I've never learned anything specific besides things along the lines of 'religious group' and the word 'zealot' being thrown in, and none of that was from actual members so I'm not relying heavily on it.

And Ooh, sweet! ^_^ The design just sort of called to me, so simple yet practical. I'm thinking of modifying it a bit now that I'm out of school and I don't have to worry about deadlines and such to distract me from learning how to use the Factory.

I'm still here bro, too bad your leaving just please help me finish up the mustafar thread so I can start up the Dark Jedi Order or something.
Please.... :(

At the core The Primeval is lead by Godworship but it's so much more than that. We're a collective of outcasts, exiles, and crusaders. People who have no where else to go find themselves in service of The Primeval in order to gain what they desire. To be heralded or wealthy, to conqueror or to be isolated from all else. It's a common cause and although many roleplay religious characters we have many who don't and find their accepted place because of their particular skillset or due to pursuing a mutual interest.

Our goal is to uncover ancient secrets and eventually leave the galaxy behind, giving what we've taken to those loyal but not faithful.

Aw hey man, sorry about this, I hadn't heard from anybody in the faction for a while and I thought you'd all left. Alright, we can finish the Mustafar thread.

[member="Anja Aj'Rou"]

Hm....it sounds intriguing, I don't know if it would match up with Venris' personal code, but he IS trying to find a path to follow, something to live for. He thought he'd found it with the Fleet, so he might be a little easier to convince to join...and he does have a personal sub plot involving a prediction made by both a Dathomiri Witch and a Sith Ghost that states he's basically screwed, no explicit details on exactly how badly but he knows it relates to Dathomir and witchcraft and him apparently suffering for eternity unless he finds a way out of it. If the Primeval could provide him with some info he could be convinced to join...

What is the Primeval's relation with other factions?

One Sith: Allies

The Republic: Hostile

Omega Protectorate: Unfriendly

Rebel Alliance: At War

Mandalorians: At War

Lords of the Fringe: Friendly

ACA: Friendly (Soon to be allies)

SJO: Unfriendly

Levantine Sanctum: Neutral

Vitae Alliance: Neutral

That is basically the outlook The Primeval has on the other major factions.

Hm...Venris has friends in some of the factions that the Primeval is hostile or unfriendly with. If he did join I think it would be more out of convenience than actual loyalty, to research the Witch Marks on his back and learn some dark side affiliated techniques/abilities. He'd follow orders, help the faction benefit if or when he has the chance and do a few things that might be against his usual nature in the process, but if he were to encounter somebody he has a particular liking of on the battlefield he'd be more likely to defect than kill that person.

To put it shortly: he'd be good with joining as long as they don't make him do anything TOO out of character for him.

This works perfectly well with us. :)

We don't story-lock and in fact I think that'd present some interesting roleplay. To be with us but not for us.

I'd love to get something going. If you want more than just myself to hop on board I'd suggest asking in our faction's forum :)

Otherwise if you'd prefer a one-on-one thread I'm game.
