Conrad
Character
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Conrad's most distinguishing feature is that while his build is average if on the lighter side, his skin, nails, hair, everything about him is seemingly perfect. Almost like it was crafted to be. There are no blemishes, no scars, no gray hairs, or really any signs of wear and tear on his body at all. He's always found with a complementary suit and matching fedora, but most of the time he seems to wear this to hide his figure. The one striking feature about him are that his eyes while superficially appear normal, if you look into them you'll find something dark lurking behind the almost harmless façade.
INVENTORY
A three piece suit, simple cane with a hidden sword in it (that just simply looks stylish), and a set of fedoras to go with every occasion.
PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Conrad comes off as someone who belongs in polite society and aristocracy. His poise even when doing something as simple as walking and sitting down, are done with the equivalent grace of someone who was raised by royals. And to him, he was. Conrad is also very, very forward and outgoing, having a cheerful if almost bubbly personality that can lure most people into a sense of security and safety. After all, he's just a pretty looking young man who's probably the son of some noble. He's entirely unthreatening, and in most situations is trained to act disarmingly so, such that he can simply use his wiles and ways to loosen people's lips around him. After all, he just wants to gossip, to chat and party a little bit and maybe even have a casual bonk (What I wasn't going to say it!?) ahem relationship. He's just a social butterfly who's able to go from social setting to social setting, from a meeting with royalty where etiquette manners are life or death, to partying in a nightclub into the hours just before dawn.
This is what Conrad was trained to act like. After all, he's a spy.
The real Conrad is a cold blooded man who's only real allegiance is to that of his masters, Mother and Grandfather. He's a practitioner of the Force who's found an affinity with manipulating fire and tapping into the more spiritual nature of the force. A trained duelist that while not particularly good in open combat, can fence with most. And most of all, a heartless monster who won't hesitate to deal with a threat or slight when necessary. Conrad was trained to act like your typical lover/pretty boy to conceal his molding into becoming one of the most lethal assassins and effective spies for his masters to date. And while he certainly actually enjoys in the vices his covers let him partake, after all the best covers are those that are actually somewhat true, the speed at which the mask drops is somewhat unnerving.
STRENGTHS
Master Manipulator - Conrad in social settings is like cake at a wedding, or alcohol at a bar. He knows how to insert himself into almost any setting, and whether its simply playing the crowd to gather small pieces of information about the general area, or working a mark to get highly valuable pieces of information or compliance, Conrad is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve success. And he has no shame in doing so. As such when it comes to getting people to talk or play along, few can resist his charms when he decides he wants something.
Practitioner of the finer arts, and a few dark ones - Conrad's training was not only in things such as etiquette and manners, but also in things that those of more noble tastes would have experience in. As such he's an experienced and good duelist both in fencing and dueling with pistols (a single shot affair with rather brutal results). This training however extends past most normal pursuits and falls into a few darker ones as well, with Conrad being well versed in many of the belief systems of various Force sects, but as far as usage, he's found an affinity with pyrokinesis and generation, tapping into the spiritual nature of the Force, and matters dealing with flesh.
WEAKNESSES
Brains not Brawn - Conrad isn't much of a brawler as both his physique and build work well against him in more open and less refined combat. As such, while he's not totally defenseless, in the wild west shootouts and open battles of Star Wars universe Conrad is not very well suited. Plus he's not particularly a happy camper when his suit and dress shoes get mucked up by the chaos of proper brawl. This is also a problem when pursuing more physical skills and hobbies, such as things requiring raw in built strength. While he could certainly alter himself to fix that for a particular situation, that takes time, and doesn't look particularly natural. Which defeats the whole purpose of being a low profile spy.
Let it go - Conrad is not one to let go of any slight, no matter how small. Forgiveness and charity were not things he was taught either as a child nor in his training. As such he's driven not so much to get even, but rather, repay these insults ten fold. Whether that's by politely snubbing a member of royalty deliberately, ruining the relationships surrounding someone, or brutally torturing and murdering someone who was impolite, there's not much that Conrad wouldn't do. This has a tendency to make situations a bit tense, if not potentially get the rather "young" spy in deep trouble as his appetite for trouble and ego are only suppressed by his masters' orders and presence, even if temporarily. Add into this his adopted heritage of being one of the last "True Blackguards" (Loooooong story) his pettiness knows no bounds.
HISTORY
The important part of Conrad's history is his upbringing, his training, and his first assignments outside of training.
Conrad's upbringing was rather odd, as after a traumatic incident in his childhood he was abandoned by his previous family and was taken in by two members of the ancient force order known as The Blackguards. This splinter faction of Blackguards however didn't follow what the old order was known for exactly, rather than focusing on less quality practitioners to spread everywhere, this particular group focused on cultivating select candidates that are turned into the perfect spies and assassins. As such Conrad was taken under the wing of two individuals who he came to call "Mother" and "Grandfather". His childhood from here was rather spartan and austere, having few creature comforts and otherwise being raised to adhere to his Order's tenets. He would learn to crave knowledge of any kind, studying all the history and lore they'd gathered, with this particular sect of Blackguards focused on learning everything there was not only about the Force, but the galaxy in totality. Conrad's own treatment was tied to how much he learned, practicing things he learned from the archives as he began to prove his increasing worth, and that he should be able to stay with them. Once they felt he was ready, he would progress into actual training to become an extension of his Masters' will.
Conrad's training was almost a decade of social interactions and engineering, practicing various forms of the Force from Light side abilities to Sith Magic and Alchemy, finding his affinity with Pyrokinesis and Sith Magic and Alchemy, especially when it came to altering the biological form. His masters encouraged this affinity, Conrad going so far as to learning how to alter his own form like clay, removing scars from training, making his skin seem a perfect shade of just lightly tanned, and his hair and figure being that most models would kill for. Any mistakes to this was punished, usually violently, and while Conrad's training escalated, his skill with using this in novel ways both on himself and others, became rather prominent. When it came to using this skillset to force someone to divulge information, Mother would be rather pleased that her "son" would break someone without leaving a "mark". There was never evidence of what happened from the time they entered when he left, but the mere mention of him was enough to bring about compliance. From here he would transition to learning more about socially plying information from those around him, learning a variety of social roles from bartender to inserting himself into someone's life to get them to give him everything, before he betrayed and destroyed them. His graduation ceremony was putting all of this into action, with Conrad being instructed to go out and find a suitable suitor to get his own source of credits. This would lead to Conrad going to a planet close to the Core worlds, and studying various people and nobles across various nightlife. What he settled on, was a rather rich noble who was out spending her inheritance by living it up in one of the lesser known clubs on the planet.
Conrad would insert himself into her life, first getting her friendship, and then love, and then when the time was right, killing her and assuming the inheritance for himself. The act proved to his masters that he was ready, and now that he had his own source of money, they would send him off into the galaxy. His first mission was to get himself into a position where he could both gather information and power, and ensure the stability where he was. This was because if one thing was true, it was easier to gather information in a stable society, no matter how inhumane or evil it was, than in anarchy.
