Small, easily worn on a belt.
Emits a signal while active that tampers with the activation signals and command input for electronics in a small area around itself.

+ Disables tech from being turned on, and causes it to become confused and deactivate if already online.
+ Lightweight, small, and easy to wear and conceal.

- Indiscriminate: also effects allied and personal tech while active.
- Not waterproof: will not activate while submerged or soaked.
- Specifically targets Electronics controlled remotely. Something like a Lightsaber, with a direct/manual activation would not be effected by this device. It is maximally effective against enemies who use HUD activated tech.

The Confederate claim to fame has always been technological superiority. The ability to control what technology is allowed to function falls easily under that umbrella. With that in mind, Alkor Centaris and several of the greatest scientific minds the CIS had to offer went to work.
Arguably, in a situation where an opponent is of superior skill, a given fighter deprived of their weapons falls to a disadvantage. The scrambler works consistent with that logic: disallow technology in a given area to force the opponent into an unsavory situation.
The perfect complement to any duelist's arsenal when faced with an opponent who relies heavily on technology.
