SPECIAL FEATURES

• The coating looks to be a transparent layer, however when an electrical current is ran through the material it is capable of bending light around the object creating an active camouflage effect.

STRENGTHS

• Can camouflage anything in any light condition with little distortion effect.

WEAKNESSES

• Can not mask thermo and EM signatures from sensors on its own
• Is very expensive and impractical at cost to coat anything other then armor or smaller with.

DESCRIPTION
Originally commissioned by the Hapan government as a replacement for the bulky active camouflage generators used by Her Majesty's Select Commandos, Hunter Technologies developed it to work only as a coating over armor with little power draw. While R&D were successful in determining the light refracting properties of rainbow gem dust with other components, the cost of the material was deemed to high for the Commandos use. Especially when it offered no additional protections by its self.
