Communing With Nature

Kashyyyk

A hand brushed lightly along a plant leaf as Sophia continued to walk through the forest. She kept her eyes focused straight on the path ahead of her looking down every once in awhile to ensure she wasn't about to step on a fallen tree branch. Even though it was a beautiful day and the sun was shining the young woman was on edge. The last time she had come to this planet two Sith Lords had kidnapped and tortured her. It had been the worst few days in her life which she would never forget. The nightmares were gone mostly and she slept peacefully. Still from time to time she had flash backs which she kept to herself as she didn't want anybody to worry about her. Sophia needed to keep up appearances after all.

The reason the young woman had traveled here today was to prove to herself that she was totally over what happened to her. This was nothing more than another one of those forest planets which were very peaceful and calming mostly. She didn't have a destination in mind, her plan was just to wander and take it all in. If things went well she may decide to spend the night. Things would have to go really well for that to take place.

Stopping for a moment Sophia sighed as she leaned up against a tree and pulled out her canteen. Placing it up to her lips she took a sip of water closing her eyes slightly just for the moment to try and relax. The young woman was far too tense and this was supposed to be fun.

Veino stared at the nav device in frustration. Broken beyond his skill to repair. Fantastic. Exactly what he needed. He stuffed it into his pocket and looked up at the forest around him. Nothing looked familiar and there was no trace remaining of the trail he left behind. Looked like he'd be camping out for a while longer than he had anticipated. So be it. He sat down on a log and traced lines in the dirt with his boots. Might as well hang out here for a while. On an impulse, he yelled out, "Is there anyone nearby that won't want to kill me on sight?"

Sophia's eyes sprang open on the sound of another's voice. She thought for sure that she was here alone but it seemed that wasn't the case. Gulping she walked a few steps away from the tree. "Hello?" She called out with a hand on her Lightsaber.

The last thing the young woman wanted was trouble. She had just come here to relax and move forward with her life without fear. As a Templar it would never do to be afraid of Sith or anyone.

Veino stiffened, and looked around through the trees for the other person. "Hello! Sorry to interrupt, if I did. I'm just, ah, lost." He scuffed his feet on the ground, face slightly red. He couldn't see @[member="Sophia Walsh"] yet though, so he just sort of stayed where he was. Tracking people via emotions was beyond his ability. Right now, anyways. So he'd just mostly stay where he was, perhaps walking a few steps in the general direction.

@Veino Garn

"Oh no, your fine and not interrupting anything. I was just having a casual stroll through the forest is all. You just startled me." He had done more than that however Sophia was not willing to admit that to him or anybody else really. She had come here to do this by herself however it was, admittedly, nice to have someone else here with her.

"Lost? What are you looking for?" She wondered what he was looking for and perhaps if she could help him. If she could, it would get her mind off all these silly notions of monsters hidden in the forest waiting for her.

Veino gave a slight cough, "I'm looking for the path I thought I was but turned out not to be. I recently discovered my nav's been malfunctioning. Seems to have been broken quite a while ago." He scuffed his boot against the forest floor. "I wouldn't happen to be anywhere close to a path, would I?" He felt really foolish now. Foolish enough even to cough up enough credits for a speeder ride than a walk.

"I might be able to help you fix that. I'm a mechanic. My name is Sophia. Where are you? I promise I'm not going to hurt you." It had been a very long time since she had a chance to work on ships but she could still do it.

"I'm not sure if there is a path. I don't think that there is."

Veino nodded, "I'd appreciate that then. Oh! I'm Veino, and it sounds like I'm to your left, in a minuscule clearing." He studied the small area of sunlight. "I can't really be any more specific than that unfortunately." He frowned, and scuffed the ground with his boot again. "It wouldn't surprise if there wasn't one. The information seemed a little untrustworthy."

@Veino Garn

Sophia turned to her left looking for the lost [member="Veino Garn "]. He was very lucky to have found her and not someone less friendly as she remembered the time that she had crash landed here to be very unpleasant indeed. She would never forget her time here and how terrible it was. The fact that she was going to be able help someone get off here safely was very nice.

"Hey," she waved as she found Veino standing right where he said he was. "Nice to put a face to the face. Where is your ship?"

[member="Sophia Walsh"]

Veino waved back with a relieved smile. "Hello! Indeed it is." Ship. Ah, yes. "Well. I don't have one. I hitch rides doing odd jobs to help out in dangerous places for people who can't hire help." So, it was rather convoluted, but so was his life. "Is yours nearby? Or do you hitch rides as well?"
