CONTENTS:
Chrysopaz crystals, sand and sterling silver are the base materials, with the added 'decorations' of Tartarine crystals.
Strengths :
Force Detection = Due to the unique properties of the Tartarine crystals, the blue crystals glow in the presence of background Force energy, getting brighter the stronger the energy is. In a strong nexus or by a powerful Alchemical item it will glow bright enough to illuminate a room.
Resistant = Perfectly capable of holding boiling hot water for tea/caf or ice cold drinks without weakening the structural integrity of the cups.
Weaknesses:
Breakable = As with most dishes, the cups and saucers will break or chip if they fell or were thrown distances further than 2 meters.
Non-Specific Detection = Although the Tartarine crystals are able to detect strong uses of the Force, it is unable to detect Force users or what allignment they fall, most especially if they are hiding their signature.
DESCRIPTION:
Being the ruling Monarch of the CSA, Kay has her schedule full of meetings with various types of officials from across the spectrum. More than once, she's had Sith manipulate her environment or her mind in order to get their way in the negotiations or agreements. As Kay hides her Force signature most of the time, she can't detect other Force users so easily when they are using their abilities in such a powerful way. The tea cups decorated with Tartarine crystals enable her with a visual display as a warning that'll attract her attention easily, enabling her to protect herself. Kay is hardly without her Sapir tea, most especially at meetings, so having the new tea set wouldn't raise any eyebrows or give anyone a false sense of security.
