Strengths:
Carrier: The Colossus, though its name might imply isn't really a massive ship. That being said it is clear that the ship itself isn't really a heavy destroyer, nor is it a missile ship. Instead the ship itself is designed as a carrier. Even in this function however it is dismissively small, with larger ships being viewed as a more effective carrier. However, unlike other carriers the Colossus is designed as a mix and match of a troop transport as well as a smaller assault ship. The Colossus in this aspect takes after the roll of the the famed Acclamator class Assault Ship which was capable of ferrying a massive amount of troops and cargo through space. This is the same effect that the Colossus carries out.

Long Range: The difference between the Colossus and the Acclamator however is simple, while the Acclamator is designed to launch into the thick of the fighting and take heavy brunt damage, the Colossus is instead meant to sit on the outskirts of battle, in reality, its not meant to engage in battle at all. Though it is armed, it is not well armored nor are its weapons on point with ships of similar class. The Colossus instead works on its anti-sensor coating and its long range deployment methods, utilizing stealth transports and drop pods to deploy its troops and only coming in to land for itself once threats have been neutralized. The ship itself was designed with this aspect in mind.

Weaknesses:
The Butt: Perhaps the Colussus' most glaring weakpoint is its central engine housing directly between the two 'wings' of the ship. This engine housing is extremely vulnerable. A Single strike in the correct position just above the engine housing is capable of completely crippling the ship.

Not Really Combat Designed: The Colossus, as mentioned before, isn't really designed for combat. Though the vessel has weapons, it's armor is almost non-existant and its glaring weakpoint makes it a difficult ship to properly utilize in fleeting. Instead the vessel relies on its relatively simple anti-sensor coating, as well as its long range deployment method to stay unnoticed and out of combat. If engaged in combat It is unlikely the Colossus would survive against many, if any, ships of similar size.

Description:
The Colossus is simple in design, function, and...well everything else.

This small line of ships was commissioned by the CEO of Saeva Incorporated, Kiran Vess, after he found a need to transport his ever growing private military group. Being aware that his company had an ever growing need of ferrying more troops, and also being aware that he could never stand up to galactic factions in terms of ship strength, size, and general output, Kiran decided that instead of moving into building an entire fleet, he would continue to have Saeva do what it did best.

Hitting hard and fast.

To facilitate this Kiran commissioned the building of the Colossus class from various small manufacturers around the galaxy. The ship itself is relatively simple in design, a large cruiser with a thinner hull, several long range weapons, and point defense turrets.

The aspects of the Colossus take after the Acclamator assault ship, in that it is specifically designed to ferry around more passengers an cargo at the expense of weaponry, shielding, and hull. Unlike the Acclamator the Colossus chooses to stay out of combat, in doing so it saves additional space and allows it to carry more troops and cargo.

Though this seems like an odd choice, to Kiran it seemed only logical.

Saeva Incorporated has a unique approach to finishing the jobs they were hired to do, often coming out of nowhere and wreaking utter havoc before quickly disappearing. This is accomplished through a series of stealth transports garnered through working for the Primeval, as well as through other less obvious means. The Colossus will facilitate this tactic in a fairly simple way.

Using its anti-sensor coating the Colossus jumps into the outskirts of a planetary system, skirting passed long range scanners and deploying Saeva employees through either Stealth Transports, Hyperspace Drop Pods, or another interesting means that Kiran Vess thinks of in that particular moment. The Colossus then stays in place outside of fleet range and simply waits for a signal to retrieve the Saeva Employees(If the coast is clear of enemies) or simply leaves.

When engaged in combat the Colossus is not entirely useless, but as stated before it will more often than not lose an engagement with similar sized ships and above. That being said, it functions well as a support ship to a larger fleet and is also capable of taking on Frigate sized vessels or smaller.

The ship is obviously named ironically.
