Code of Conduct.

Guidelines and the Code of Conduct!
Because lets face it, structure builds confidence...
Out-Of-Character:
  • Due to the nature of this Faction, attitude is an important factor in how we relate to all members on site. We will be expecting to mix things up with members of the Jedi factions whose opinions may not correlate to our own. In this I ask that everyone be as respectful and considerate to one another so that we do not find ourselves having to compete with OOC Drama. While I'm not asking you to befriend every individual you come across, a little mutual respect will go a very long way so that we all can enjoy the Role-playing we're taking up.

In-Character:

Jedi Personnel:
  • No member of the Jedi Order is to find themselves directly involved in Politics. While they may support others and hold their own views on the workings of the Galaxy, it is not right for one with an affinity in the Force to be found in a position of power. Humble yourselves and your role in the Galaxy, forgetting this is what led to the collapse of the united front in the beginning.
  • Jedi do not act as Soldiers. They are peace keepers and a deterrent to war and hostility in the Galaxy. While it is inevitable that we will find ourselves in a position of great conflict throughout our path, remember that the lightsaber is a weapon only as a last resort and to kill is to wound the natural flow of the living Force.
  • The Church of the Force does not condone the teaching of the Jedi Path to those outside of the Jedi Order. Without the discipline and the dedication that Jedi train with over the initial years of their life within the Order, others may be easily tempted to use these abilities for wrongdoing and the pursuit of self gain. It is therefore that the Jedi Order, in the hope of lessening the risk of losing or seeing people succumb to the Dark Side of the Force; instead focus only on those force sensitive who have given their lives to the Jedi way.
  • Beware the lure of the Dark Side. The Galaxy is rife with conflict and in the greatest show of oppression, the Sith lead in this turbulent era through their unpredictable and immoral use of the Force. Always be wary of yourself so that you are not drawn out in temptation and forget why you have given your life to the Order and to the Force.

Non-Jedi Personnel:
  • Non Force-Users and those affiliated with the Lightside of the Force are essential to the growth of the church of the Force. Many people would have you believe that the Jedi Order has become what it is, to present itself throughout each era simply by the perseverance and determination of the Order yet that is not the case. Without those that support the Jedi Order; Galactic Society could have seen them to be outsiders, oppressors in their strict ways and their presumed unnatural affinity in the Force that so many others do not have. Please continue to offer your support as there will be others that look to stand in our way as the Jedi Order reforms.
  • The Church of the Force will turn away those not aligned with the Light Side of the Force. As standards have slipped over the years, the Church of the Force maintains that through absolute purity of the Force, the ideals of the Jedi Order are the key to restoring balance and finding peace both in yourself and in the galaxy at large. As the Dark Side only taints and corrupts, those capable in the Force yet who are not of the Jedi Order, will be turned away.

Given your post count and your thread tracker I've put you above the rank of "student" in this faction. Though this does not allow the 'ooc privileges' of Knighthood here on Chaos, Though I feel anything less than Mentor would be belittling of you and would certainly trust you to teach others should they wish it, in a non-official (padawan/apprentice) fashion.

I hope this is to your satisfaction.
