Thanks to the issues that AECO teams had with blaster weapons during their operations, Barabian Systems was requested to make weapons with inbuilt silencers and slugthrower ammunition to allow for more subtle methods of fire. At first, only the Clandestine Operations Weapon was developed, a slugthrower handgun that filled its role well, but only could act properly in the field as a backup weapon - due to this, the request came through for a Carbine.
After meticulous planning and theories and ideas, Barabian Systems finally finished their first design for the Clandestine Operations Carbine. Designed from the ground-up to be adaptable, the weapon comes with openings for rail, underbarrel and sight attachments. It has an ambidextrous magazine release and is designed for the digits of any species or race, so as to have to prevent further modification for 'highly' alien users.

- Maintenance: Thanks to the inbuilt silencer and intricate design, the COC-1 is a very hard weapon to understand and maintain long-term, making it difficult to use for extended engagements.
- Look at me: The COC-1 is going to stand out in anything that isn't a battlefield, even with its generally compact size - the weapon is simply hard to transport.
- Burnout: Similar to the issues with the COW, the COC-1's ammunition capacity and high rate of fire means it cannot keep up with blaster carbines and rifles.
