Church, Bar, Walking… Here we go yet again (Open)

(Open to all and just round three of ‘You Walk into a Bar and Realize It is a Church’ and 'You Walk into a Church and Realize it is a Bar' threads)

There had been a few run-ins with characters that she did not want to. Those experiences of people thinking they know her base of teachings had left a sour taste in her mouth. The past with Jensaarai had bright times but there were dark ones that came more towards the end before she left the order. Her core beliefs that were shaped by Jensaarai teachings were still there. She could not escape her mind from pulling those memories up. Yet again to combat her hyperthymesia, she picked a large city she never been to since it was a new experience. Just this time, she picked a bar to burn brain cells and looked for herself at the bottom the bottle. One thing that was sort of humorous was some trying to sing at the front of the bar.

Donning her ewok cloak over an oversize black tee, the cloak met her baggy, large barrel pants which covered up her boots. The pants had back pockets that allowed her to slip her ax into with enough of the handle to grab. Of course her saber was close by; it was in the arm of the ewok that hung in front of her. Out of moment insanity, she had a lovely cloak from ewoks she killed. That memory and moment was driving point when the ancestor of her relived that the darkness she felt was in every member of her family since the blood line started. There was no way of removing it Amari was told. So out bursts like with the ewoks would happen again for her.

Back to happier times, Amari was away from Susevfi, drama of the galaxy, and everything that was old to her. The new city, new faces, and new… everything was the setting she needed to bounce back from it all. The bar was a getting pack with people who were watching and singing songs on stage. With a big smile and happy tune being sung from stage, Amari drank her drink slowly while watching the crowds.

Haytham hadn't been the sort to leave the temple without permission. But there was no action, there was nothing to do anymore in life. The planets that made up the Galactic Republic didn't even bother to have feuds anymore that required Jedi help. Nobody needed Jedi help anymore. Or, they didn't make it that vocal at least.

Besides, diplomatic missions weren't exactly his sort of thing.

Why he went to a bar though, he had no idea. Curiosity? Information? But on what, he had no idea, but he was definitely not enjoying the 'don't leave with no supervision' rule. And plus, what were the chances of a Sith just wandering to the same location as him, and proceeding to destroy everything?

At least he blended in with the rest of the people around. At least, accessory wise.

The Padawan made his way to a vacant spot next to some furry garbed woman.

Besides, the only thing that separated a Padawan from a Master was experience, right?

A song finished up and another person went up with their choice. For Amari, the song ending and another starting up did not register to her as she simply stared at the bottom of the glass. That was how she was seen while her mind had her trap for a moment. What she was seeing was rain running down a window that she was looking through. Water was coming down getting her soak. After sneaking over to a friend’s place, she stood in the rain to just watch her sister having fun with the friend. The poor girl was angry, depressed, and betrayed. To watch her sister get in the way made her grip the glass tighter at the bar with the memory tightening it hold on her reality.

However, a new body near her from what was before the memory surfaced caused her snap from that replay. The woman looked over at the man sitting next to her. It was a quick examine of person. A study of what was new and telling herself to chill while being still worked up from the memory had to happen. These awful triggers had gotten her into tight spots, and for right now that was not a desire for her.

Giving a nod to acknowledge the man, Amari swapped glasses with the bar tender for a full glass of alcohol. Then she turned on the stool to watch another man sing on the stage on the other side of the bar. Drinking more down to hinder the replays she been having, those that seemed to be just playing to make her blood boil.

As Haytham took a seat next to the woman cloaked in fur, he took a moment to look her over again, this time closer than when he had previously, and he felt as if he should know what kind of skin that was, but it didn't help that he had never seen an ewok in person before. It just looked like another animal's fur to him.

What intrigued him was that he felt the woman was a force sensitive, but there was a lot of emotions coming off of her... He didn't really need the Force to know that, just from looking at her was enough to understand that she was deep in thought. And then she spun on the stool to look at the rest of the bar.

It was interesting to see how someone would push their own emotions down, and repress them. As a 'sheltered' Jedi, he didn't really experience traumatizing events that would give him reasons to stare blankly at the bottom of the cup like many inhabitants of the Galaxy...

After he had ordered his drink, he spun on the stool to look towards the rest of the bar.

"Y'know, drowning yourself probably isn't the best idea."

Not looking from the stage that had a man singing his heart out, Amari gave a simple reply about her madness. “It's not call drowning when the goal is to kill the brain cells so the brain will play nice.” It was true to the idea of hindering the mind so her play backs would not happen so much. Even at the moment, the voice of the man sounded like her brother while at the small pub in Yumfla. The surroundings had mixed together, the old place she knew and the actual bar she was at currently. It was getting bad again that she could not hear music; even though, she was witnessing a man on stage doing a song.

Haytham watched the man on stage singing his song. He wasn't seeing him, but simply watching. He didn't listen to the words, or paid attention to what the man looked like, or who he was. What he was focused on was the woman to his side, trying to figure out whether she was actually annoyed with his presence, or was only answering because... She had nothing better to do. But he wasn't that attuned to the Force to go so deep into other people's emotions. Whatever feeling they were primarily feeling was what Haytham usually picked up on first, and based off of his own social interactions is what he based most things on... Judging emotions anyway. As he had here.

"Yet, the result is the same, isn't it?" He glanced at her from the corner of his eyes.

Amari started to giggle. “Manu… isn’t the same, we agreed before that it was like getting liquid courage. So it’s all good under the roof.” She finished her remarks with drinking half her glass down. It did not cross her mind that she called the man by her brother’s name. That was just a hint to the slip happening in her mind. Although a positive side it all that it did not cut off and seal her off from the world.

Haytham frowned for a moment, when she called him... Manu?

He made no comment upon it, he didn't know how people tended to react in situations where they were shocked out of whatever reverie's they were in. But he thought it'd be a bad reaction, without a doubt.

At that point, Haytham realized that it was probably the best idea to get her out of the bar. If she were going to call him... Whatever she had, what if she called someone else a being that she loathed with all her heart? What if it was some long lost lover that had done her wrong and she wanted revenge? He was a Jedi, and his duty was to protect these people and so he slowly raised his hand... And placed it onto her shoulder lightly.

"You should be some place quiet, I think."

Things seem to snap right back to the current situation. When the memory did not have a hand be placed on her should, that was a sign of reality was not as it seemed. Looking over to the hand, her eyes followed up to the source. Amari was not upset because it was not the first time someone said she should leave a location. All too aware of her memories being an issue so a thought of what did she do this time popped up. She looked away from the man to glance around for bodies. At least there were not bodies.

Shifting her gaze back to the man, “Umm… what did I do this time?”

"Ah-ha" Sheila was moving and buzzing about as she finally managed to get through the door fast enough with someone else opening it. Her wings were flapping harder and faster before she was going through the open area above the people with a small grin on her face. She let herself land on the bar for a moment while she looked up at the bartender and spoke focusing the force. "You want to give me some sugar water." She was looking at him and he gave a nod of his head while he was getting what she wanted and the little As-Aki twirled around moving with some of the music.

Haytham expected a hostile reaction the moment [member="Amari Vessia"]'s eyes settled onto him, but thankfully, just from looking at her eyes, it seemed like a resigned look... As if she were used to situations like these... But in response, he shook his head to her question.

"Nothing bad..." He said, but with a small smile on his face, hoping that she would be grateful that someone was trying to cheer her up, he said, "although... You did call me Manu." A friendly smile at least.

However, Haytham didn't know where to go from there... Continue trying to get her out of there, or just... talk? So, he cleared his throat and said, "what usually happens now?" He hoped she would understand and wouldn't have him elaborate on what he was saying. It was already a situation that made him a little nervous talking about. Although he was intrigued, he loved learning things, no matter how useful or even useless they were.
