Private Chilling in Space

Today is a particularly important day for me. I have decided to meet with my mistress and her master to present them with a surprise that I hope will impress them. The meeting place is the spaceport on Artorias, a peaceful little planet in the Diarchy, known for its mountainous landscapes and spectacular sunsets.

I am seated on a black leather chair, comfortably settled in a private hangar that I have reserved for the occasion. The hangar is spacious, lit by bluish lights that reflect off the metallic walls, creating an atmosphere that is both modern and soothing. My datapad rests on my knees, displaying the details of our next flight plan. The information scrolls under my fingers as I eagerly await their arrival.

I will need to ask Ada to retrieve my mistress's ship as soon as it arrives. We will then board my new ship, a true technological gem. My mistress is not yet aware of this acquisition, and this visit is a small courtesy surprise. I am eager to show them that her credits have been wisely spent.

My legs are elegantly crossed, and I am wearing a captain's uniform that fills me with pride. As the person in charge of this ship well, a "small" ship, since it is still 200 meters long i must wear an outfit befitting my role. My black and gold uniform shines under the hangar lights, with golden details that add a touch of elegance and authority.

Next to me, on the armrest of the chair, sits a flask of steaming coffee. The steam gently escapes, creating a warm atmosphere in the cool air of the hangar. Taking advantage of being alone, I have put on my captain's cap, a black kepi with the colors of the Diarchy, adorned with a golden emblem that shines under the lights.

Today is a day of celebration, and I am really looking forward to their arrival to present this technological gem to them. This ship is something very close to my heart. I can't wait to see my mistress's reaction when she discovers all its features. I am convinced she will be amazed, perhaps even to the point of freaking out with surprise and joy.

The soft hum of repulsorlift engines faded as the Diarch's transport settled into place outside the private hangar. Artorias greeted him with serene views and a similarly wonderful hangar, the planet was always a beautiful gem. He stepped from the shuttle into the near perfect air. Taking a breath in before beginning to head to this new vessel his apprentice and her assistant had recieved.

A new ship loomed before him, it was not incredibly large but it seemed meticulously built. The scent of the N&Z corporation was all over it. Which in its own right meant it was finely built. Deciding to step inside he moved to the captains seat to see if anyone was aboard already. He recognized the posture first, legs crossed, datapad in hand, black-and-gold uniform crisp and deliberate. From behind her he called out.

"Nyva, it is always so wonderful to see you. How are you my dear?" Nyva had already been a large part of Rellik's story and he was happy to see her. He might have offered her to much kindness in regards to how Lyssara usually talked to her but he could not help it. His boots echoed on durasteel as he approached her seat, the steam from her coffee still curling like incense.

"Captain Shei," he said, letting the title rest gently on his tongue. "The uniform looks great on you. I am glad you are sporting the Diarchy in all its glory." Now that he was at her side properly he gave her a hug and a smile.

Nyva asked me to meet her at the spaceport I wonder why. She didn't tell me the reason for my visit, but she did say to bring the Solar Spectrum, which I did. I docked at the local spaceport and told Ada to remain on standby, following her instructions. Once I stepped off the ship, I checked my datapad to find the exact location of the summons. I didn't notice the Solar Spectrum leaving without me Ada probably went off and did her thing again.

I eventually arrived after walking a bit, taking a turbolift, and getting bored on the way to the captains' lounge. Captains? Since when is she a captain? She's going to have some explaining to do. I had noticed some strange transactions on my accounts, but I didn't question them I trust Nyva to handle those things.

Upon arriving at the waiting hall, I saw someone speaking with another person it was my Master. Clearly, Nyva wanted both of us present to uncover whatever she's been sweeping under the rug.

Without delay, I went over to greet them as well.

"Hello, Nyva. Hello, Master. Everything going according to plan?"

It must be a special occasion today Nyva's outfit is seriously sexy. Her captain's uniform suits her perfectly. Black and gold, with a cap. I glance down at her and give her a friendly smile.

"So, what's today's surprise? Or are we here to have some fun?"

As I wait from my captain's seat, it's the Diarch who comes over to me first. The Mistress hasn't arrived yet. We take a moment to talk—his mere presence is enough to give this scene a calm and comforting atmosphere. It's good that he's here; maybe he'll help temper Lyssara's emotional side.

He looks at me and smiles, greeting me properly truly. So I stand up, since my Mistress's superior has arrived. Even in my captain's uniform, I have to show him the respect he deserves. He's not just anyone he's one of the leaders of the Diarchy. I practically stand at attention.

"Good morning, Master Rellik. A pleasure to see you here. Thank you for accepting my invitation you're most welcome. I'm doing well, thank you. And yourself?"

I take another sip of my coffee to relax. The word "captain" echoes in my head with a certain warmth. It resonates within me like an open book, and it brings a smile to my face. I rest my hand on my cheek with a sincere smile and closed eyes.

"The pleasure is all mine. Though we should thank the Mistress she's the one who funded this entire project by giving me that gold bar last time. I hope this gift lives up to the standards of the Diarchy!"

My gaze then turns toward Lyssara as she arrives. She asks the inevitable question "so, where's the fun?" Well, we're already there. She only has to look around. So, I decide to leave the reception hall with them and head toward the Trident.

A magnificent ship, black and gold, perfectly sealed, stands before us. I grab my datapad and unlock the ship's boarding ramp. Then I step to the side so they can board. It's time for my welcome speech.

"Welcome aboard the Trident, ladies and gentlemen. I am proud to present this little jewel of technology, designed by the N&Z Corporation with the finest systems available… in collaboration with HPI System as well. Oh, and of course, it has its subtleties but the Trident is a major defensive vessel. It's a flying fortress nearly impossible to hack and completely undetectable by radar. If you have a dream destination in mind, now's the time to let me know, and we'll be on our way. Oh and Mistress, the Solar Spectrum is aboard, don't worry."

They're not ready. I gently extend my hand to the side to let them board the Trident

The Diarch lingered at the foot of the boarding ramp, his gaze sweeping over the vessel as Nyva's datapad unlocked the systems with a soft hiss. The Trident's golden trim caught the hangar lights like a crown, its lines sharp and predatory, yet refined.

Rellik inclined his head toward Nyva as she stepped aside, presenting the ship with her captain's pride. "A fortress in our colors," he said, his voice quiet but resonant. "She wears the name well."

He allowed himself a small smile, first to Nyva, then to Lyssara. His hand brushed briefly along the ship's hull, fingertips tracing its polished frame "Both of you should take pride in that. Now there was a big smile across his face. Rellik was proud and happy of his apprentice and friend's accomplishment. Looking to Nyva and giving her a little salute - "Show us her heart, Captain. Let's see what this jewel can do. We should go for a test drive."

The master of ceremony just spoke. Once everyone is on board, I let them drop their belongings in the appropriate quarters or keep them if they prefer there are small lockers so they can make themselves comfortable.

For me, this is routine. I already know the Trident and have explored it from top to bottom; this is far from my first outing. Does he want to see the heart of the ship? I'll show them that first and what they'll discover there, they're not ready for it. I boarded as a free woman, and it is as such that I now invite Lyssara and Rellik to step aboard this luxury cruiser.

"As you might expect, the Trident is a luxury vessel Corellian leather, electrum, just to name a few…"

That already gives a good idea of just how refined the Trident is. I clap my hands, and as we begin the tour, the ship lifts off. Better to save time. The vessel is already preparing for its jump into hyperspace, though I have a little surprise in store for them first. But before that, let's visit the heart of the Trident. I reach the lower deck and stop before a reinforced door. I take out my access card and unlock it.

The chamber is lined with golden and black trim, echoing the structure of the ship itself. At its center stand the two hyperdrives, with a control terminal between them. I step toward the command chair and rest my hand upon it to unlock it.

Then I rise, allowing Lyssara to sit in the chair and begin examining all its features.

Meanwhile, with a simple snap of my fingers, I send the ship into hyperspace. We set course for our destination.

I can't help but whistle in admiration as I walk through the interior of the Trident. I clap my hands in excitement and sheer delight—this really is a luxury ship, designed for the comfort and well-being of its passengers. I stash my belongings in the locker assigned to my name, lightening myself to fully enjoy the experience. I only keep my datapad and my lightsaber; the rest, including my jacket, I leave in the locker. In short, I claim it as my own.

When she explains that it's Corellian leather and electrum, my eyes widen a little. Wait what? The entire ship is filled with that? You've got to be kidding me… but no. When we step into the heart chamber, I see two hyperdrives. Wait… there are two of them?!

"Two hyperdrives? Come on, Nyva, that's overkill…"

That said, I understand the reasoning if the first one were to fail, she'd always have a backup. Pretty clever, militarily speaking. What surprises me even more is that we started moving without her being at the pilot's seat. Everything seems to obey her with just a snap of her fingers. Looking over the hangar schematics, I notice that the Solar Spectrum is docked and ready to go. She actually brought it here? Brilliant. That makes the Trident a proper mobile base in its own right.

She opens up the terminal and lets me tinker with the dashboard. I crack my knuckles and start typing, my face shifting from "oooh" to… wait, girl? Are you serious? Did you build a starship or a flying fortress?

Turns out it's a bit of both. Scrolling through the systems, I see the processor: ATHENA, next generation, Bio-Hexacrypt, Holowall technology… this ship has insane defenses too. It's packed with the latest innovations from HPI and N&Z Industries. Damn, compared to this, me and my Solar Spectrum might as well just pack it up.

She's got a class 0.5 hyperdrive, the ship maneuvers like a starfighter despite being 200 meters long, and she can overcharge it with the propulsion system. The entire ship doubles as a giant simulation hall you could sip a drink on Alderaan or choose whatever setting you want.

My eyes flick toward Nyva, a tight smile creeping across my face as I discover the almost unbreakable storage drives. Well then, I know exactly where I'm setting up my new lab…

"Nyva, seriously… have you seen these crazy specs?"

I moove for rellik, if he want sit on the chair for consulting the data too.

The Trident exits hyperspace, and she signals me to look out the viewport. We face the starfield… and there it is: the Ragnarok, the other frigate-class vessel I own. We glide slowly over it until both ships are side by side. The display is almost symbolic, showcasing the power of the two vessels together. And I haven't even seen the main bridge yet.

"What do you think of the Trident, Master Rellik?"

There's even Firrerreo DNA storage and telepathic communication systems where the hell am I right now? I glance over at Nyva, who's standing before a holographic interface; she can control the Trident from anywhere? And it doubles as a battle simulator on top of that?

No, stop… this is too much. And I haven't even visited the luxury quarters yet. With everything I've just seen, I can only imagine the kind of excess waiting there.

"And this is for us...?"
"Yes, it is for our team, the trident was a fortress."
