DESCRIPTION

The main goal of the nameless project that both ruined and infinitely improved Charlotte's life was to create a functional Force user that could be programmed like an obedient droid. Unfortunately they failed at that second part, but they put enough cybernetics in the poor dear's body to horribly screw with her perceptions of reality regardless. Sometimes these little gizmos come in handy, so...tech sub!

The highlight of Cherek-01's cybernetics suite is her "wet computer," a borg construct which allows her wireless access to whatever networks are around her. Normally she just uses this to have a constant connection to the holonet to find information that her actual brain doesn't have at the speed of thought, but it can easily be used for slicing. Datapads are wireless, after all, and the vast majority of networks are designed for datapad access. Additionally, her wet computer helps her brain decode and translate incoming images from her eyes. Without the borg construct, she wouldn't have much more than basic human vision.

Charlotte's eyes are extremely sophisticated. In addition to basic human vision, she can switch between several vision modes almost instantly and with nothing more than a reflex. The main modes are light magnification ("night vision"), infrared, ultraviolet, and thermal imaging. Her basic vision has a sort of hardcore augmented reality program, giving her an HUD in her very skull, "data halos" and informational pop-ups around things she looks at, and a "holographic" computer screen to translate the raw data of the network pages she visits into something a human brain can understand.

The rest of Charlotte's body has undergone a couple of dramatic but subtle modifications. Her Valkyri physiology proved incompatible with even the room temperature labs she was held in, so one of the earliest additions made to her body was an internal temperature regulator. A couple of lightweight implants in her abdomen keep her insides cool to ensure she doesn't get sick from walking around in climates where water doesn't freeze on contact with the air. These are powered by her metabolism like a normal prosthetic organ.

Cherek-01's skeleton has been altered into a calcium-duraplast compound, greatly increasing its structural integrity. Her bones are highly resistant to physical stress, from being shot in the leg to having her arm snapped in a martial arts hold. Additionally, a skeleton that can support more stress means that Charlotte can push herself to lift much more than a normal Valkyri; easily another 45kg on top of whatever else her body is conditioned to lift.

All of this isn't without cost, of course. Most obviously, Charlotte weighs substantially more than she would otherwise, and it's rather solid "dead weight" rather than the buoyant natural weight of fleshy bones. Being artificial, her bones don't heal naturally, so if something does manage to break them, she'll have to find someone to give her complicated and painful surgery to mend the damage. Duraplast shows up on security scanners, which may cause some problems with authorities, but like every cyborg, her biggest weakness is electricity. Ion charges and EMP will cause her intense pain as her brain is attacked by electricity, and anything that shuts down her head suite will render her blind (in more ways than one, as Charlotte has come to rely on her wet computer for quite a bit).

I don't see anything major or gamebreaking here, please remember that though some things have wireless access, not everything does. Same goes for security, military instillation and certain private data terminals would have extreme amounts of security that would be difficult if not impossible to crack in a timely manner.

Approved.
