Chelara was eight years old the first time she saw a dead body. It wasn't someone she knew, just someone on the side of the grimy streets. Her mother had quickly hurried little Chel along, ushering her to the girl's preparatory school down the street. Chel didn't think much of the body in a morbid sense, rather a curious one. She wondered what that man had deserved to be discarded like that? Alone.
Dreams about the body troubled her for years as she made her way through her schooling and her various extracurriculars. Her parents had enforced a strict curriculum, including after school classes in language and "culture". She was allowed to choose one sport and became engrossed in boxing.
Years go by and her privilege plus her parents wealth helped her land a job under the direction of Marlene Starlight as a project manager. Her job was very base and never allowed for deviation. In happy hours with her coworkers they often joked that this is where "creativity went to die". Not that Chel had seen much of a need for creativity in her line of work, or really in her life. She had been on a set track that treated her well, what was the point of risking it all?
But still, the body occupies a small part in her mind, it was a window into another world. That curiosity never left her and has now started to question how much she should risk answering the questions bouncing in her head about what her privilege had shielded her from on the rest of Denon.

Beanpole was a common word used to describe Chel. While she wasn't above average height, her thin frame made her seem willowy and lankier than she actually is. However, moving in the ring when she used to fight, Chel was incredibly fast and became quite skilled at scoring points and shots before the other fight even knew she moved.
She has short brown wavey hair that falls to chin-length and dark brown eyes. Her skin is olive-toned and she is most commonly dressed in a conservative work uniform.

- Fighter: She has been trained in basic boxing since she was 13 years old. She used to fight competitively until she suffered a broken leg during a match that got out of hand.
- Smart: Chel had always excelled in her studies in school and proved to have a mind for memorization
- Self-absorbed: growing up in privilege she learned to become obsessed with social standing and is constantly over calculating each move and how others perceive her
- Curious: Chel's curiosity has often led her down deep rabbit holes that at best annoy her friends and at worst get her into trouble.
