Stronger Nexus will be more closely scrutinized for balance and fairness during judging. Choose one: Weak (A weak influence on the area and the people on it. A fragile nexus that can potentially be altered by people or events, i.e. a lightside nexus could be corrupted by atrocity or a dark side nexus cleansed by the actions of a mass of Jedi.), Moderate (A moderate influence on the area and the people on it. Could be altered with a great enough event.), Strong (A strong influence on the area and the people on it. Powerful enough to be renewed in the event of a great cataclysm, and unlikely to be altered.) ]

Is it isolated from society or is it in the middle of civilization? Is it guarded? Open to the public or private access only? Keep in mind that the Strength of the Nexus above must be reflected in this field. ]

  • Primary Languages: Herodian, Basic
  • Culture:

Herodor is a planet of organized insanity, of endless war-enforced peace, of hypocrisy, and contradiction. The population in its entirety has been brainwashed over centuries to worship Khaos, an apocalyptic death cult that seeks to spread so much death and destruction throughout the Galaxy that reality eventually breaks so that their twisted God can enter real space. Fanatical does not even begin to describe the lengths the average Herodorian is willing to go. They work themselves to death with glee as they breathe in the toxic fumes of the great Cathedral-Factorums or willingly throw themselves into the firing slits of enemy bunkers because even though the suffering they experience in life is unimaginable, it is nothing compared to the paradise that Khaos will grant to His followers in Paradise.

  • Technology: [ A description of how technologically advanced the planet is relative to the galaxy. If there is nothing of note, simply put 'Galactic Standard'. ]
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

As a result of the sudden and unexpected severing from all of the surrounding worlds, Herodor fell into anarchy the moment the supply ships stopped coming in. A once vibrant and technologically advanced society turned on each other as resources began to run dry. First panic and general disorder gripped the population then food then riots, resource hoarding, and finally complete anarchy. The planet-wide unified government shattered into tribalistic factions that battled each other over what little was left. Wars raged and resulted in the massive use of biological, chemical, and thermonuclear weapons of mass destruction that killed billions and forever scarred the sacred landscape of the proud world. Gone were the massive cities that covered sub-continents, left only moldering ruins, testaments to how great Herodor had once been. Gone were the massive seas, most dried up by the starving population or so forever radiated that all life had died. Gone was the memory of their Empire, forever.

They had turned their entire world into a post-apocalyptic wasteland, a living hell for all still left alive. The only fortunate ones were the dead.

After the initial resource wars had ended after four hundred years of constant war, fought by descendants that could barely comprehend why they were fighting it in the first place, the planet fell into relative peace. Not because everyone had come to their senses and decided that the entire thing was pointless, but rather because the factions left simply did not have the strength to wage large-scale wars. A population that had once been in the tens of billions had been reduced to only a few hundred million, forever wandering the desolate waste of Herodor.

Wars still raged across the planet, led by nomadic feudal tribes that wandered the irradiated wastelands. Petty empires rose and disintegrated; tribes formed, were destroyed, and re-formed as diminishing, brutalized shadows of lost glories and forgotten triumphs.

Until Warmaster Festerruman Sachiel appeared, a shepherd boy turned great tribal chieftain, with his Thirteen Twelve Apostles. This Warmaster proclaimed himself the prophet of the God of Herodor, Khaos, and began a century-long brutal conquest of Herodor in a time that would become known as the Unification Crusade. Sachiel waged a terrible Holy War that engulfed the entire planet with a great host called The Chaos Pact. Battles that would have shaken the Galaxy, with hundreds of millions of soldiers on both sides, became commonplace.
