Description:

With the growing scale of warfare, Tenloss R&D realized that their Enforcer Armor was slowly becoming obsolete by galactic standards. With this in mind, Popo ordered that a new armor design was to be created and fielded. The result was the Champio-class Bodyarmor, the new way forward in personal protection.

The armor design relies on a combination of materials, designs, and layering. The innermost layer is a bodyglove of sealed armorweave, providing full environmental and vacuum protection along with a modest amount of protection to the wearer. Over this are a series of rigid plates covering the body made of reinforced duraplast, giving a high amount of protection against most attacks, including EMP and Ion along with a limited protection against lightsaber attacks. Over this is a compartmentalized series of layered thermal gel. The thermal gel gives the armor the ability to resist high heat and flame attacks with relative ease, though past a certain point (well over atmospheric reentry heat levels) the gel is relatively useless. The gel also hardens on sufficient impact such as hard landings, shrapnel, slug throwers, and melee attacks, and absorbs the energy transfered to protect the wearer.

Over the gel and duraplast is a layer of titanium. This layer is designed to reinforce the previous two layers and to provide structural integrity to them as well as to provide a structural backing, reinforcment, and anchor point to the last layer. Outside of reinforcement, the titanium provides minimal protection.

The last layer is made of Trimantium, a highly tensile resistant and durable material. The trimantium is designed to hold against blaster, laser, and kinetic weapons with relative ease to protect the wearer. The plating is cast over the other layered plates and provides full protection in those areas.

The helmet itself is built along the same lines, though the armorweave is included thinly and acts more as an anti-spalling liner than true armorweave. The armorweave is adhered to the reinforced Duraplast shell which is cast in a single, rigid piece. Between the armorweave and the duraplast helmet, however, is a layer of gel padding to absorb impact damage and protect the wearer. Outside of the duraplast layer is a thin layer of thermal gel that operates much like the rest of the suit by protecting against heat, flame, and absorbing kinetic impacts. The helmet is reinforced with titanium structures throughout and is plated in Trimantium, giving the helmet a high amount of protection against most known attacks and keeping the wearer intact. The faceplate is constructed of numerous layers of photosensitive transparasteel to provide high amounts of protection in line with the rest of the suit.

An optional gorget is also made and is constructed in the same way, though is padded more heavily to protect the throat against damage.

The helmet itself features a series of standard HUD systems normal to most bodyarmors and is, in fact, inspired by the same helmet systems available for Mandalorian Helmets.

The suit's boots feature maglocks and the gloves feature touch sensitive pads on the fingertips to allow better interaction between tactile based computer screens and holograms.

The downsides of the suit are rather basic. First, while lightsaber resistance is limited, it is not infinite. Repeated or sustained blows from such weapons will penetrate the armor. Also, while the suit is designed to protect against heavy kinetic blows, sufficiently powerful attacks will still harm or kill the wearer*. The suit is EMP and Ion shielded, though sufficiently damaging attacks of such types will damage or shut down the suit systems. Lastly, the suit is fairly bulky and does restrict movement, preventing most acrobatics and attempted acrobatics.

*Tenloss does not condone and is not responsible for injuries or death sustained from 'home testing**' its products.

**Rancor wrestling is not an acceptable method of testing and Tenloss armor is, generally, not designed to do so.

Rolled a die to figure out how much weight I was adding. Rolled 1d3 (1d6 but you kinda lump the numbers into 1,2, and 3). Got this, so looks like 18kg.
