Description:
The defense orbs are a set of small droids, two to be exact that work in tandem. Due to this, they are not the most heavily armed battle droids in existence but do possess a unique method of fighting. Via sensors inside of them, they are able to detect if someone is going to attempt aggression against their owner and once detected, they commence punishing the person. The punishment consists of them shooting a laser directly into the opponent, or in some cases a missile. These droids have limited intelligence, even for battle droids. Their size also makes them incapable of participating in large scale engagements. Furthermore, due to the limited processing power, it would be very hard to reprogram them.
The defense orbs will not shut down, unless their owner commands it. They could be sliced, like any other droid. They can be destroyed, like any other droid but it comes with a biometric scanner that allows it to 'imprint' basically recognizing the first organic after purchase and activation as it's 'ward' or 'charge' and the one it is meant to protect. Unfortunately, sometimes these droids do go into overkill in protecting the individuals they care for, or individual. These droids are presently very susceptible to both Electromagnetic pulses, and ion blasts.
